In this video, I capture Fine Art Photography images of a lighthouse that's easy to photograph, find, and access. If you haven’t been yet, you definitely should!
Earlier this week, I visited one of my favourite spots, New Brighton Lighthouse (also known as Perch Rock Lighthouse), to shoot in my signature Fine Art style.
For those who love photographing lighthouses, this is a must-visit location. Free parking is available just 50 yards from the lighthouse, making it incredibly convenient-you could even walk there in high heels (figuratively speaking, of course). It’s a stunning spot to shoot at sunrise and sunset, offering endless composition possibilities whether the tide is in or out.

New Brighton, love that place. another great video Gary. Lovely processed images aswell Gary. I love Fine art Photography, You do inspire me to get out there again, Like you I am not a fan of summer landscapes getting up at 2 am to do sunrise shoots, i too love the darker days coming so I can be out all day enjoying the more sociable hours. Im off to the dolomites in Italy last week of october for 10 days and hoping I get some good images there, the ebike should help me get about more also.

Thanks for your video. I've never really got into the fine art stuff. I kinda dabble in it but this video gave me some good ideas and the funny thing about find out Photography. If you don't need the most interesting subject it's the mystical look that creates it and obviously good sharpness And composition, but you don't need the most dramatic scene to something like that. It's given me some good ideas. I'm always trying new stuff as you know.

I live near there! Last time I was there storm Lillian was doing her thing and I got some cracking shots. I've never photographed the lighthouse like that though, to be truthful it never occurred to me. Guess I'm going to have to give it a go. Very intrigued to see where your last destination is. Great video. You said local, do you live nearby? I lived in Moreton for 19 years with the parents. Prior to that in Liverpool. I must try this fine art but I don't have higher than a 6 stop, I've even got the app to calculate exposure times, need to invest in better filters

A few CDs in your camera bag always helps with coastline photography. Like the old ones we used to burn music on. Place them under the feet of your tripod, and it'll help keep your tripod from sinking and moving in the sand.

Did you say 2 miles East from Perch Rock for the second location ? struggling a bit to find that one :) Kind of recognise the Wind Farm on the horizon but the Sea wall has thrown me completely....looking to get back to Perch rock soon - did a similar shot last year and a judge marked it down as there was no interest in the sky .....
