as someone who worked in many kitchens - things are always in a bag because theyre pre-weighed and portioned. also to avoid cross contamination for people who have GERD, allergies or religious restrictions. lol these veggies are also not "loaded" with preservatives. there are actual people shredding or machines doing that and are packed in an airtight container.

Because USA have so many junky food restaurants and franchises, and the reactors can tell them apart just by touch. A fast casual restaurant is customizable food served at a restaurant that you order at the counter and pick up at the counter. Typically it is assembled when you order, from ingredients that are held on the line. The per entree price is generally higher than a purely fast food place , and while faster than a full service restaurant it is not as quick as fast food, where they hold complete entrees ready to serve. What they do NOT have is table service, at best hey will offer delivery to a table (Like getting a table number at Shake Shack and bringing it out). If, on the other hand, the normal method of service is a waiter or waitress taking your order, and delivering your food to your table it is a sit down full-service restaurant NOT fast casual. They are not fine dining establishments for sure, but they are not, in any way fast casual. This is not the first channel I have seen misuse the term (Smosh called Red Lobster Fast Casual, but any restaurant you can pick a lobster and have it prepared from live lobster in a tank is NOT fast Casual). You all are defining it by using premade ingredients as opposed to making everything in house, at least that is the only thing I can see that would make you call a full-service restaurant a fast casual one. There is no source on the internet you can find that would support you describing those types of restaurants that way. Restaurants like Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steak House, Applebee's, TGIFriday's and the like are casual full- service dining, but not fast casual.

In my opinion the boxes, containers, and other packaging are a hinderance to the challenge. Since they can't see it anyway, why not just put it in a bowl or on a plate? Maybe just blindfold the reactors and put it in front of each one. Just an idea.
