I love cats so very much. Have 2 inside and many outside (feral). My 14 yr old ginger cat, Chester, still zooms in the middle of the night. His little sister (6) is usually the one who starts the running through the house. Cats are so amazing and beautiful and each one of them is different and have different personalities. They can be amazing pets. My Chester is my heartbeat. He knows when I am sad. He knows when I am sick. He protects me all the time. He is my baby. He actually let me know that I had a tumor growing under my right arm and that it was cancer. Say what you will, but my cat Knew I had cancer, showed me where, and after I found the lump, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After my mastectomy, my cat went back to his normal ways. Nobody can tell me that my Chester didn't sense, or know, somehow and he alerted me. He was insistent, he was adamant, he was by my side and would not leave me.

I absolutely agree with you. I love cats, they are my life, and always have been. I worked 2 jobs a day for 10 years to take care of strays. I would still be but I became disabled. I love cats so much. My first cat saved me from being beaten by an ex. When it was happening, I saw my cat eating food in the kitchen, next thing I saw was my cat with all claws stuck to the back of my ex as he was trying to get out the front door, no lie. Cats are a lot smarter than they get credit for. And so loving. My babies, I love them so much.❤

Lots of cats like the chase. They just have to know boundaries/that you're not serious. Met cats that loved nothing more than to box you. Then snuggle up when tired. There's no "right way" to play with a cat except the way the cat likes.

Nah, cats can handle a bit of banter. They are tough little bastards, and if you go too far they will let you know. There are things you should never do to your cat though. Cats should be allowed to go outside on their own and not on a leash, they should not be declawed, they should not be washed, they can groom themselves just fine (unless maybe when they are completely infested with fleas or other parasites) and most importantly, they should not be hurt.

That’s not how you harness train a cat. Poor thing. More than one clip too. You IMMEDIATELY reward them once the harness is on by TAKING THEM OUTSIDE! The increased stimuli will make the uncomfortable feeling of the harness less obvious/important to them. Once they make the connection between harness and going outside, they’ll start to put up with it or get used to it. Or not- not all cats can be harness/leash trained. My cat gets excited when I get the harness and leash. He still doesn’t like putting his head through it (makes sense, whiskers are sensitive and his instincts say he’s stuck) but he’s fine after it’s on. We don’t leave the harness on for over an hour (cat fur is sensitive, it’s very uncomfortable) except when traveling (we make sure to pet/scratch under the harness for him).
