The Reformation is more expensive due to their ethical practices (environmental, social) that ensure the production of their clothing is made by people who get paid living wages (for LA, where their clothing is made) and do not have to operate in sweatshop like conditions. Like you, another reason why i choose to support Reformation is because they do their best to reduce the costs on the environment their clothing production has and then to mitigate the consequences of the damage that does occur (planting trees to help replenish deforestation). That is why you pay "probably more than [you] should have" for those items than what you pay when you support the unconscionable practices (unliveable wages, immense environmental pollution) of big brands like Zara and Urban Outfitters. Hopefully soon it will become sexy and fashionable to care about what kind of practices we are supporting when we go shopping, i.e. the life of the garment before (and after) we buy it.

I work at Veronica Beard and we have gingham pants! In black and white and then a light blue and white...they're more of a straight leg, a bit fitted and high waisted! (Which I know you love!) Would be so great paired back to that cropped top from Reformation!
