Did this after a previous how to video you posted and it has been great. I got rid of my all army hotkey a decade ago but I see its usefulness now. Even with these settings though, I start to fumble when I have more than 3 army control groups. So I think the key to multitasking also largely comes down to practice.

to deselect certain units out of a group, i just select unwanted units and create+take away into a new hotkey = removes only them.

I am lower level zerg, I found using F2 works for me, and I take several groups out of that 1,2,3 of specific units so I will move my main army then select certain units to micro and spell cast while the main army attacks. its a simpler version of what your talking about but much easier to do. Sometimes its problematic though

Hes right. 100%. Thats not how i do it tho. I personally use all the in game setup. Like, ctrl overwrites a ctrl group, shift adds, alt steals and overwrites, alt+ shift adds to a group without overwriting said group.. imo. I find useful ways to literallys use all of them.. i also use like 8 ctrl groups and a trash key. Personally. I use 1 bases 2 prod 3 upgrades 6-0 r on my mouse. Which is my army

Hello Neuro Master, In this case, you are removing the uso of ALT basically right? I do use the steal away, but using ctrl + alt + shift. It's the same but quicker right? Or is it any other gain to your setup?

when u selected larva and added to group.... did you shift or control? I tried your set up but when i shift add eggs it makes new control group and removes what was alrdy on

OMG i am playing starcraft since many years and I think the control shift ability..to deselect overloard or drone from a control group. I think i am doing that wrong. Feel so dump.

At around 3:35, he blows up a mineral line with banelings. Can anyone explain how this is microed? Is it attack on the bunker followed by a shift-move command? The banelings seem to split up nicely to kill the SCVs.

its literally 1)Select banes 2) right click bunker 3) shift+right click in middle of mineral line. And once all banes got to the final location (middle of mineral line) they automaticaly attacked scvs or whatever without any additional command - its what they do by default.

So you can NEVER have units share a control group. Do you ever see that being useful?

Yeah I don't know of a situation where I need to have a unit in multiple groups -- and if I REALLY need all of my units I can still use the F2 feature to select everything.
