Does your child with cerebral palsy, genetic disorder or developmental delay have spasticity?
Does stretching hurt?
There's a reason!
Stop stretching (which can damage muscle tissues) and start accessing their own brain to reorganize their movements more efficiently.
You can access your child's brain's ability to change by SUPPORTING what their brain is ALREADY doing.
Slow, gentle movements are HOW our brains learn new movements - brains do NOT learn through pain.

the key to help reduce spasticity are movements that help their brains learn how to contract and release muscles when they want to, so they can do what they want. If stretching hurts (which is why many, many parents are looking for something other than stretching), the brain isn't able to learn new options (how to contract and release when they want to do something). We learn new ways to move not by passive stretching, but through variation of our experiences. There's more possibilities to help reduce spasticity than just stretching. This is another option that's helping a lot of children, that's not painful and accesses more than just mechanics. We need mechanics to move, but we also need a brain that can coordinate those muscles to do what we want. These gentle movements help upgrade the brain. Keep exploring movement!

@@MindFullMoves grandson had a traumatic birth at 29 weeks and I've been doing the movement lessons and I can tell the difference from week to week. He is not as weak on his right side as he was 2 weeks ago and his movements are more fluid.
