I've been using the amax since season four of warzone. I have to say this from my opinion and experience... I've tried all I could for recoil attachments for long range, and this 7.62 Caliber kicks very hard. The grouping for long distances is spontaneous and trying to control it will get you just a couple hits after dumping a mag. It's futile for control to an extent... It's really more ideal for medium to close range;however, the damage is the only upside, but the sweaty SMG's players will have the drop on you when it comes to mobility since you have a rifle. Not a run and gun. I've gave it so many chances.. Hope this helps!

Yo Westie, from what stats I looked at the Operator foregrip gives you 2 frames worse ADS time compared to Ranger/Merc/Commando, the only plus being that it wont hurt movement speed I'd still personally stick with a Merc, or are the stats I heard wrong?

I remember Xclusiveace posted a video on ADS speeds a couple of months ago, and he found that yes, the operator foregrip did slow your ADS time by 2 frames. I genuinely don't know if they ever patched it (I personnally never played with the grip, and I haven't read anything about it being fixed as of yet). I run the ranger grip (especially after the patch), mainly because I never trust my hipfire skills lol

Here's a thing my buddy and I started doing. We have stopped using suppressors. When you get in a fire fight the other team knows where you are, even if others can see you on the mini map they will never know exactly where. This should be a plus for really good players because the more people that come to you the less you have to search. With a reliable team, your back should be watched and never really ambushed. This allows a free attachment slot for a compensator, sight or whatever allowing you to add more control over the gun. Your secondary can always be silenced

This has been my main gun since the release in season 4. You can honestly forego the 45 round mag, use the vlk or any preferred red dot. I use the merc foregrip just because when you have to hip fire the tighter bullet spread really helps. I also use the compensator over the monolithic, just because I like laser beams. I've found the muzzle break to also be really beneficial for this gun. I do run iron sights from time to time, my build looks just like this, just with the merc foregrip instead because of hip fire spread.

There's a big difference between recoil control and recoil stability. The operator foregrip has recoil control, while the ranger foregrip has recoil stability. Recoil control controls the vertical recoil while recoil stability controls horizontal recoil. In my opinion, it's more important to control the horizontal recoil, because the vertical is easier to control than horizontal. You don't want your gun to start climbing up, then slowly going left or right, you want to get rid of the left/right recoil. In conclusion, I personally think the ranger foregrip is a better option than the operator foregrip.

VLK seems like a decent bet on this over the foregrip if you don't like the irons - you get 10% vertical AND horizontal recoil reduction as opposed to the 17% vertical from the grip, and the ADS penalty is actually less than the operator foregrip, with the benefit of having a 3x optic if you want to use this at medium range with an SMG secondary.

Westie! I think I've found a viable build for the ISO in Warzone, highly recommended. Sorry for the novel ahead of time lol, really hope you read this one! ^^ The ISO's biggest weakness is just how punishing the 50 round drum mags are which basically turn it into an LMG, but there is a way to work around that. However, it has four redeeming qualities that make it stand out compared to other SMGs, and those four are range, bullet velocity (faster than the AMAX!), recoil and reload speed. I made a build to take advantage of that, and it's been working wonderfully, since the range and bullet velocity make it just as good if not better than the MP7 at mid range, while having slightly faster mobility stats. It may just be personal preference, but I found the gun extremely consistent when going for headshots with this build, which lets it make up for the slightly slower TTK compared with other SMGs (it's still not a slow killing gun by any margin). So, now onto the build: FSS Nightshade barrel, 30 round mags, sleight of hand, an optic (I like the cronen mini reflex, the g.i. mini reflex feels a bit bouncier than the others) and the tac laser. The reason why this build works in Warzone with just 30 round mags is because with SoH the ISO has a ridiculous 0.7 second reload speed (1s if you don't animation cancel), which is nearly twice as fast as the MP5 even with SoH, and it allows you to dip behind a corner for just a fraction of a second and have a nearly instant reload. You could try to run it without an optic and go for a commando foregrip or stippled grip tape, but I found the precision offered by a mini reflex too good to pass up. It's not a perfect gun, you will need to be a little bit more careful in Trios or Quads when using it to make sure there's always cover to dip behind and get the super fast reload in, plus you do need to go for headshots if you're up against sweats at point blank range, although keep in mind you have double the range of all the guns that can beat you point blank, if not more. That being said, I still have to highly recommend this build as an alternative to the MP7 in the role of a close to mid range SMG as it consistently maintains a higher damage output than the MP7 all the way up to 40+ meters and has faster bullet velocity making shots considerably easier to land while also being faster and more mobile than the MP7 at the cost of very slightly lower close range TTK and the mag capacity. Needless to say, if you're doing Solos or Duos where the 30 round mag is not a big deal, the gun shines even more, and it really stands out in dragged out fights with cover or back to back 1v1 scenarios, where the exceptional reload speed can quite literally allow you to have a nearly endless stream of bullets for the entire fight. One crucial tip I have for the gun is to try and get used to reloading immediately as soon as you down someone, if you finish them off you will not have enough ammo for a second fight, and go for headshots on the downed player to conserve ammo.

I only have warzone so it took some time to finally get Grau. At first I used AK-47 for I have always loved it :D then I tried Scar, M4 and Kilo but none of them felt "good" to me but when I finally some days ago got the Grau, wow it is GREAT! Huge fan of the amax! Been using it since it came out. Try using a red dot as it helps with the visual recoil and bounce - and the ranger fire grip for the aiming stability and recoil control. My favourite AR!

Had my 4th Solo Win an Hour ago with literally the same build. Only difference is that i used the Ranger instead of the Operator or Merc Foregrip and just started to give that Weapon a try. I've never used the operator before because of the ADS penalty, but i will give it a go. The Ranger felt really good on that weapon, but i have to learn that recoil to be even more effective. As a secondary i used the Kar98 and it's definitely a fun Loadout to use and my new go to Weapon for a Sniper Build. Until now i mainly used the RAM-7 and M4 with a Sniper.

The AMAX is great if you're reliably hitting chest shots but if you aren't, the TTK goes into the dumpster and you'd be better off with the RAM which is more forgiving due to both its higher rate of fire and because you don't need chest shots to accomplish its lightning fast TTK.

Nice idea with the Operator Foregrip to lose less ads/running speed. Thing is, in my opinion, vertical recoil isn't that hard on the amax, it goes more or less straight upward. It's the horizontal recoil where the gun jumps a little bit more around than the other assault rifles. And for compensate this, I would use the Merc foregrip. Overall, my favorite gun at the moment.

I use my AMAX as an SMG paired to a Sniper rifle, if I'm going for a AR + SMG/Shotgun build, I'd rather have a more forgiving AR such as the M4. I feel like even though the TTK on the AMAX is better than the other ARs, I miss more shots due to the recoil, and that TTK goes up too fast since the firerate isn't that great, I have more success at range with the others ARs or even the SA87. But at close range it absolutely destroys people, several times I won fights where the enemy just didn't know what happened and got like "what gun is that?" in the death-comms. My SMG AMAX has: Mono Supressor, Tac Laser, No Stock, 45 Rounds and the fifth is something that I change alot, sometimes I go with a reflex sight so the visual recoil doesn't throw me off target, sometimes I go with the Squall Barrel for extra ADS Speed, but without it the gun is already as snappy as a fully kitted MP5, so there is no need for it. I don't use any underbarrel attachment on it cause I'm using it only on ranges that I would use an SMG, so the recoil isn't that much of an issue, besides, I want to move fast and most underbarrels hurt movement speed, but a fifth option could be the Operator Foregrip since it has no impact on that matter.

The amax with the 10 round Mags as a DRM (mono, long barrel, variable zoom, 10 rounds, and commando) is actually pretty good, it two taps like a marksman rifle (not the including the Kar) but it has a lot less recoil and a lot more total ammo as it uses mid calibre, I use it with a long range Uzi. It's not meta but it's fresh and if you know how to use cover you can out shoot everything apart from maybe an MP5 at close range.

Replace your operator grip with the VLK 3.0 optic and you reduce ADS by ~1 FPS. You go from 39% vertical recoil to 32% vertical recoil but you gain 10% in horizontal recoil and you get a proper sight vs the irons.

I either go SMG - AUG with 5.56mm x Drum mag. AR - AMAX, long barrel and big mags no sights, stock (never tac laser). Great weapons. Tried the AN-94 but the rate of fire feels slower, and the MAX feels good. Having some success with the S87 LMG and 50 round mags, it is crap in Close quarters but take a knife, shotgun if people get close, it can seriously lock down angles, good rate of fire, dmg, and with the right upgrades the S87 is a bit of hidden gem (ugly as sin, so I use one of the legendary ones as a base to improve its looks).

Looked back your older videos, the commando grip is okay since with it the AMAX only have vertical recoil and a little bit to the right afterwards.

I think you can change Tac Laser with VLK. Ads time is fine with this weapon.

use compressor for 27% vertical recoil reduction. amax has already good range os its better to decrease recoil patter for woping 27% then increasing range on with only 10%

Honestly using the max not as AR but as DMR with the mag it has. Stable and strong, midrange 2 shots to upper body, and it uses AR ammo so you got tons
