One thing I love about this remix? The different instrumentations. Try, Try Again uses samples of real instruments, while Victory in the Dream World primarily uses electronic music samples. And there’s also that one part where the melody disappears and is replaced with a series of new notes. I like to think of it as Luigi filling gaps in his memory of the song with something else.

Let’s go in the dream world oh wait that combination doesn’t exist in all seriousness I loved the super star saga remake battle theme( let’s go was the song name which was why I lumped let’s go in the dream world) and it whouldnt feel out of place if that replaced try try again cause it sounds surprisingly similar to Victory in the dream world plus it’s infinitely better then try try again ever will be in fact if that happened then Mario and Luigi dream team whould have had the greatest collection of battle themes sense Pokémon heart gold and soul silver

I know this is unrelated sort of, but not a lot of people talk about what dream team added to the battle system that the previous games didn’t have, that being how the battlefield stretches into the background. This was definitely added to capitalize on the 3D feature but it’s obvious that it’s not necessary to the mechanic. With the way this mechanic literally adds a new sense of depth to the battles it kind of makes me wonder if had they tried to expand on this mechanic a bit more in a newer game (rather than making remakes) would alphadream have turned out differently
