Wow. My favorite one so far. Their reactions! They all recogised Michael Jackson! And I love that they were fascinated with Cyndi Lauper. They understood the meaning & passion behind the song. Wonderful. I'd be curious to know how many of the singers from USA-AFRICA (still remaining) have seen this reaction video. I know they'd be happy seeing how their song still can affect people even today, from other cultures.

I love these reaction videos, because they highlight our commonalities as human beings, as opposed to our differences. I felt an immediate kinship with the woman who was wiping away tears at the end of the song, because I relate to her emotion on hearing the beauty and poignancy of it. Anything that brings us together as people is so valuable. Keep up the good work!

You nailed it. I think far too often people think that because another person's culture is so different than their own, that the very things that make us human are absent in that person. I'm not sure why that is... You can clearly see from these videos that, despite these peoples' stark cultural differences from the vast majority of those watching these videos on KZbin, they share so much in common with all of us from everywhere around the world. On the surface, we may have different race, religion, appearance, etc, but really we're all the same.

I'm 49 years old and I remeber when this came out. I was still in school and they played this on MTV (music tele vision) every hour to raise money to help Africa. Every artist was a legend in their own genre and they didn't keep any of the money. It all went to aid Africa❤ The best song ever written and performed. Their egos were left at the door and they worked together to aid another country!

Then someone said there was no live version on MTV. I had to correct them... YOU don't understand that live means when it AIRED ON MTV. THEY don't understand the concept of a premier video & how it was never called a premier video. There was never any differentiation between a video OR a premier video. CUZ THERE NEVER WAS MUSIC VIDEOS ON TV PRIOR TO THAT! UGH... I WON'T say it, I REFUSE to, NOPE won't do it, I'm I'm not going to express my opinion about THAT group of people, and I know you know I'm talking about~NOT going to sound aggravated like my mother! When Michael Jackson’s Triller video first was shown in MTV, I learned people all over the world we’re waiting for it and watching it. I was a child, and that was the first experience I had of how connected the world was. Every time I see their face light up when MJ comes up, I have that same feeling.

The way the light up and immediate recognize and know MJ out the gate...the king is the king for a reason. I love your videos, and thank all the participants for being willing to be filmed knowing they won't understand the lyrics and expected to interpret and share what they feel. That's incredibly powerful.

When the one gentleman expresses his gratitude by pressing his hands to his eyes and then lifting up his hands, I've never seen that expression before and it's not something seen in the west but it very beautiful gesture which I assume is meant to express admiration and/or gratitude. In fact all their hand gestures are foreign to me but convey lots of meaning even without being familiar with them. I've noticed they will raise their right hand slightly when they are particularly impressed by something which I also like a lot.

I only discovered your channel yesterday and must thank you for the pleasure and joy that your 'music appreciations' bring me with every video I've watched truly their appreciations touch my heart and even make me cry. So warm and pure the reactions to something we take for granted. Watching the ladies and gentlemen from South Africa and sending much love love ❤

Muharam is a real special person... His eyes not simple see things. He feel things with his eyes. Have a lot of simpathy for all of them.

I find it encouraging that these men are able to express their feelings better than most of us Americans, and others about caring for humanity. Of course, the singer’s in the video are showing their vulnerability and generosity but that is why we support and respect them. They give us tenderness, compassion, and say what we are , too often, unable or unwilling to share. Beautiful men and gracious people.

I appreciate this very much...Love is love and real love will impact the heart! It would have been nice if the relevant subtitles were added so that these men could have understood the song.

First of all I would like to thank to all you people that bring another perspective on "our" culture. Every participant is so nice, respectful and wise, its a real pleasure watching those videos. For introducing The Boss Bruce Springsteen I would recommend his "Born to Run" song. It has very nice energy and feel, I guess it would be appreciated. Thank you again for your work and all the friends be blessed.
