@7MINJAE5 жыл бұрын
Exotic Cats Actually they do. If you’re asian it’s much more difficult to get into a school like, say, UC Irvine with a score that’s average amongst another race, because the asian demographic is much higher performing so the bar is higher. If the general average is a 1400 but the Asian demographic average is 1470, getting a 1450 as an Asian wont give you a better chance, because amongst the rest of the asian demographic you’re not above average.

So assuming it was my second guess, the answer would be 10.8×1.8 and the answer to that is 19.44. *So according to my calculations* (I'm sorry for that I just wanted to say it) the answer should be. @@joselovestamales256 A radian is a unit used for measuring angles. 1 radian is defined as 180/pi degrees, or about 57.3 degrees. The result of defining a radian in this way is that if a circle has radius r, and a sector of that circle has angle theta, then the arc length of the sector is r*theta (and the area of the sector is 1/2*r^2*theta).

well... he did already go past Yale uni. So the things on SAT are the very BASICS. Sadly to say, but high school knowledge is the basic of the basics. At uni, you learn a more complicated version of whatever you learn in high school. You can't just make a living from high school knowledge. You gotta go to university in order to make what you learn practical. Fortunately, in uni you can choose your major. IMO university is more fun than high school, even though it's A LOT harder.

Hey high schoolers, don't compare your scores to Ned's! Like yeah, he studied only once and drunk the night before, but he's also had how many years to solidify these concepts in his brain? It may not seem like it, but Ned (and all the try guys) use these skills that they test for all the time. For example, reading comprehension and analysis would sure be useful when you're producing scripts all the time, so even if he's not been reading essays and writing for fun in his free time, Ned has been honing those specific brain muscles longer than you have. Just take that into perspective and don't feel disheartened by a different score!

Depends on the program - so like health programs would require a certain grade percent from high school science and math classes. Others you can just apply to and get in to based on your overall grades compared to other applicants while other more competitive or specialized programs you need to do a screening or interview for so the program Dept can test your skills. And even if your highschool grades suck there are usually pre - "program I actually want" that are about a year and usually give u a certificate and that then provides you with the required grades and even classes that are needed to get into the actual program u want Ex. pre-health science

They do not. It's okay as long as you keep trying. I had to take a few classes over again in undergrad, but luckily I had scholarships so it did not cost me anything.

It's true though. Nothing will make you perfect, but practice will make you better. I've heard the phrase said this way a lot.

I wouldn't say the SATs are a measure of intelligence. It's more a measure of acquired knowledge in a school setting, but in the end I don't think these test do you any good in the long run. Just like ned now has forgotten a lot of the stuff he had to know back in high school it's just too general. you cant expect people to know and remember *everything*

Exactly. Is more like a Memory Test...

The SAT's aren't actually supposed to be a measurement of intelligence, but rather how well you might do in a college setting. I never actually took the SAT's. I went right to a community college, which didn't require them. If you transfer from a community college to a 4 year college they wont ask for your SAT's because they already know how well you'll do in college thanks to your college transcript. GRE's are the same thing. Not a measure of intilect, but how well you'll do in a Graduate program.

Asiboe I agree. The SATs are only college admission tests and they only test what students have learned throughout high school. Not how smart they really are.

I just took the ACT (SAT isn’t required where I’m at, it’s optional) and it’s honestly bs. It’s about how fast you can go. They give you 75 questions that each have an essay to read with them, but you only get 40 minutes. On the math portion, you get about 30 seconds per question to solve the problem, some of which have 3 steps and are quite lengthy.

@@camilab7123 uh no lol.. i got a 1540 and i was pretty mad about that; most of my friends did better except 1 guy who got a 1520. we would feel sorry for anyone who got a 1500. we're juniors.
