This makes me really miss FNAF games from 2014-2017. The animatronics and locations had this dim, ominous feel that you don’t really see in the Pizzaplex and Glamrock animatronics, or even the Funtime animatronics. I think it’s because the pizzerias and animatronics in the early games (1-3) were designed to be old and unsettling, you could really picture them being haunted with bodies inside the animatronics. The Glamrock animatronics don’t really accomplish this not just because of how futuristic they are, but also because they’re always talking like people. There was a kind of mystery to the OGs because you could only glean what they wanted from you from the phone guy and disturbing lore you could find around the pizzeria. They do seem to be returning to this at least a little bit with Ruin and the mimic though.
