I agree, you definitely used way too much polygel per nail and that's why it took forever to file and came out really chunky. That's an easy mistake for a beginner when it comes to polygel - thinking you need more than you really do. It's more about spreading it than layering it. They still came out looking really pretty!! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

I have a bunch of LANFO gel polishes and they are really good. I also own their top coat and base coat, and the ones that I have are great. It seems as if the base coat you received might have been labeled wrong because they do have a thick gel base coat that is like that. It is more like a builder gel. If you haven't tried their gel polishes I highly recommend that you do.

I also own about 80 of their polishes. I am currently wearing a pastel purple over a hard gel base. I have had this set on for 3 weeks -- no chipping, no lifting, no peeling. I don't usually wear them this long; 2 weeks is normal. I got mine as part of a set of 20 plus base, top, matte on sale for $12.99 per set. I bought 4 different sets. I really like this brand.

Have u ever thought about the excess your taking off the end and reapplying it to the Cuticle area? especially if its alot u can totally reuse it at the Cuticle area or to add to your apex if needed. 😊

I'm in the beginning stages as well and one tip I've learned is that the drill can fix a lot of mistakes. I've watched people just throw on the poly gel and they were quite janky. Thick and hanging off the sides but they did magic with the drill and by the end they looked perfect.

I actually love lanfo. They're bottles come with lots of air sometimes but giiiiirl they're sooo nice. I got a rainbow kit from them and it opens up sooo smoothly and everything is so nice and beautiful ❤❤❤ Lanfo is amazing

I love the nails a little thicker. Lol I stopped using polygel for all the reasons you talked about, mostly the filing! I didn't have a dust collector & ruined 2 computers, etc,etc. I used Yayoge polygel. It's very thick, but, for me, too sticky. The clean up with acetone on everything to get that sticky off was a nightmare. But, there was never a sticky layer after curing🥴. I was surprised that there are colored gels without being glitter. I will have to go look. I wanted to see the nails without all the artwork, but, remembered that's what you do LOL. Very pretty with the chrome! Liquid chrome is a waste to me. You have to keep shaking the bottle, do at least 2 coats, wait for ? seconds, then start rubbing with your fingers. Thank You

This is such an adorable set. Love your videos. And I agree with you that polygel is hard to use and very time consuming. I only did them once and it took me forever and I don’t know what I did wrong but I only got about 12 hours of use out of them before they fell off 😂 oh we’ll trial and error. Lmao. I would recommend watching a few korean nail artists for some of the best prep, my personal favorite is a channel called Jounail, she shows her prep for every different type of nail building including the plastic duel forms, and emulating her is how I've personally been able to keep nails for up to 2 months

‼️‼️My trick for applying polyglot is to use a wet wooden cuticle pusher to pat down and then the polyglot brush to smooth out. You should definitely try it ❤

So I have a few Makartt polygels and I feel like they are very sticky like I go so pat them with my brush and they always seem to just stick to it. Is there any advice that you can give me in regards to that?
