I love Micah’s sweet and cheerful spirit. He is such an humble young man. As far as list-making goes, there is nothing wrong with adding additional/completed tasks to the list! I make my list on Saturday nights for the week. I use a black Flair pen. If anything is time sensitive, I write the day beside it. Otherwise, on Monday, I use a green Flair to mark things off and add any additional items I did. Each day has a different color which is used to mark off or add daily tasks. At the end of the week, my list is so colorful and anything remaining in black moves to a new list.

Sarah, I have added something to my list just to cross it off! If I did it before my list was made, it counts! Also, don’t be hard on yourself with doing the boys hair. You said you didn't have "citric acid" but you did! LEMONS ... Around this house I am constantly having to use SUBSTITUTES instead of what a recipe calls for. I have used over ripe bananas to replace sugar in some recipes and my grandkids love it. I like Micha's haircut it is so nice for summer! We have been doing it for years and my youngest is 33 now.

My husband grew up with his mom cutting his hair and when we got married, the task came to me. I never feel confident and I put it off super late too. I feel you! The difference between a bag hair cut small a good one is 2 weeks - so even if I mess up, it looks ok soon 😂

I’m a hairdresser, I don’t think Micah’s hair looks bad! Very short fades are HARD! my only suggestion with this would be to maybe line the edges with a trimmer to have a more finished look. But it’s really not so bad at all Sarah! Don’t be so hard on yourself! ❤️

Way to go Micah and Sarah! He's got a good attitude! He liked the hair cut. I cut both my sons hair until the oldest got married. I still cut my younger son's hair. They're now 36 and 38. Great job doung Michah's hair! I remember the first time my husband asked me to do his hair... I was terrified! Now, I do his fade no problem! I do the shortest part first at the bottom, then the 3rd length all around, then fade between them with my 2. He keeps the top longer so I just wing that. Also, Bell's short turned out GREAT. She did an excellent job.

just a thought. turn your lemons and limes to the 'open round' 'face' of the lemon is DOWN in the squeezer (you'll be pressing on the 'dome'. you'll get more juice. throw the squeezed ones in a pot and boil them up for lemonade with added sugar or honey.

Good morning OTOM....its early here in the northwest......I know the taking down of braids... it can be a chore especially if you have more than one. If you zest the limes and lemons you can freeze the zest and add to things like pasta and salads, it makes food taste so much nicer.

When u pick up your raw milk take some coolers with you. I'm a list maker also. Keeps me grounded and organized. It's great to be able to cut the hair really close to scalp. My nephew does in the summer so he can wash his scalp well. He can moisturize it very well. Helps your scalp breathe.

Bring a cooler when you get your milk at the farm freeze old milk jugs and put them in the cooler. Raw mild does not last as long as store bought milk no chemicals

in the warm weather when you have to travel a distance with milk etc - take your old plastic milk containers and full them up 3/4 of the way and put them in the freezer - the frozen milk containers keeps the milk etc cool while you bring it home - and they can stay out on top of the garage fridge until they need freezing again for another trip - including the supermarket in the summer

For a fade, Start with the top at like a 4, do the full head at that, the do a 3 mid head and down, the 2 about 2 inches down, then 1 about 2 inches.. sometimes it’s easier to go from the top to the bottom rather than bottom to top

I have been cutting my families hair since I married my husband. My oldest who is 16 has all the size blades picked out and on paper to remind me how he likes it cut. It is a learning process just like most things in life. My husband always said that the difference between a bad haircut and a good one is about two weeks! Keep trying Sarah! It saves money!

I just did this with some extra lemons I had. I also slice and dehydrate them to use in iced tea. Before I squeeze to freeze the juice, I grate the lemon peel for zest and freeze that in a baggie. Nothing goes to waste here either!

You can scrub up the citrus and zest before you squeeze out your juice. Put in freezer containers and put in your freezer for later. There is a lot of flavor in the rind. 😊 Have a great weekend!

My hubby would buzz the boys and years ago bought Flowbe crazy contraption connected to our vacuum cleaner but hey worked for years and did my own hair. Boys got older and buzzing each others hair. Short story 1 out of my 3 boys just became a Barber lots of free haircuts for the football team and our Flowbe no longer working. We saved lots of haircut money.
