Fun Fact, Mrs Brown is a man dressed up 😂 And most of the cast are his family. Winnie is played by his sister, Cathy is played by his wife, and Buster and Maria are played by his kids. He cast them because when they started out they didn’t have much of a budget. But now they all get money from this show 😊

Amazing to think that the Mrs. Brown character almost never happened. Brendan O'Carroll had written a comic play that was due to be open here in Dublin. The day the play was due to open one of the main female leads decided she wasn't going to do the play after all and left the production in the lurch with just a few hours to go before opening night. Brendan had not intended to be in the play at all but had no option but to fill in at such short notice. The character he created to fill the spot was Mrs. Brown and he only intended her to be for the duration of the play until they could get a replacement actress. The audiences loved the character so much that after the play ended its run she took on a life of her own because so many people wanted to see more of her. His inspiration was all around him because I have lived in Dublin all my life and the sense of humour that Mrs. Brown portrays is very common among Dublin people

After watching, "A Madea Homecoming" & then learning that Mrs. Brown had her series, I decided to check it out & boy I'm SOOO happy I did cause, "Mrs. Brown's Boy's" in my opinion is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire 36 yrs!! Since August I've re-watched it like 10 times or more & it still makes me laugh soo hard everytime!
