The difference is that in the US to legally be called chocolate it only requires 10% cocoa solids vs 25% is required in the UK & EU - aka their chocolate is cheap, what we wouldn't even class as baking chocolate but would have to be called a chocolate flavour bar

The chocolate tastes so strong because in the UK we actually use real cocoa in our chocolate, like in cadbury chocolate there is cocoa butter and milk chocolate, unlike in America where say, for example, hersheys uses other things in place of cocoa butter (and so was made to label some products as 'chocolate flavoured' or 'chocolatey') as it's not really proper chocolate!

i live like 2 minutes away from Hershey and I've been to Hershey's chocolate world, and my friends have parents that work with Hershey and they use real cocoa beans. I remember in 2nd grade I went on a field trip there and we tried the cocoa beans they use.

Did anyone else feel like they were being a little ignorant. I felt slightly offended. Fruit Pastilles are the delicious, they are not ''granny candy'' . And why is BBQ Beef a weird flavour? American chocolate is famous for being the worst chocolate you can buy, brands like Hershey's etc. have very little cocoa content and as this is what Americans are most used to, you can understand why they'd be surprised when tasting actual, standard quality chocolate. I am by no means saying Galaxy or Cadbury's are amazing brands of chocolate but they are superior to what the average American palate would be used to. There's a popular ice cream chain in America called Dairy Queen so I'm not sure why Amanda and Lauren thought that was so weird. I'm from London but have lived in New York so I know a lot about both cultures. Not trying to hate at all. American sweets are definitely better than ours but our chocolate is waaaay better. Side note: Cadbury's was recently bought by Kraft (an American company) so let's pray they don't change the recipes of our beloved chocolate bars

So yes ours is probably better. However I have seen lots of you tubers compare English sweets to American and these people are from England and they think American sweets are way better! Here in Ireland we have all those sweets too (not candy)! It think European chocolate is just a lot richer as apposed to American chocolate which is so sweet and fake tasting! But Mandy you should have tried Galaxy caramel instead or even munchies, they're sooo good, especially since you're a caramel fan! :P you should have definitely tried Lindor chocolates, and even though this brand isn't technically "British" it's sold all over Europe! :)

As I was watching the video I scrolled through the comments and I honestly thought that you weren't being offensive until i got to the middle part of the video after and during the hula hoops. The bad breath comments were a bit insulting to. From somebody who lives in Britain (aka, me) I can tell you that I dislike american food because it doesn't suit my taste. There's no cream (real cream)! The food seems a little over processed, i was disappointed with the bacon and the pancakes just because I'm used to real meat and fresh ingredients, I don't mean that in an insulting manner. From my experience I can understand why you don't like our candy because it has more flavour and different ingredients e.g. Higher percentage of cocoa. When you were trying the chocolate the girl on left offended me. I loved cadburry growing up as a child but since america has taken over the production of it the chocolate has become sugary and has just lost its chocolatey taste which is why you both liked it. I stand by what I say when America has completely ruined Cadbury so you to say other makes of chocolate from the Cadbury line is to intense annoyed me. And taking a huge gob of sweets like the girl on the left with the fruit pastels is Ofcourse going to be too much so don't call them grandma sweets and insult them. It's just a waste of food seeing you both take tiny nibbles and then going Nope. It's just rude. BBQ or beef flavoured crisps are completely normal and they are bloody scrumptious I died off when you said they smelt like maple syrup or whatever, that was the worst thing you could say.
