I love Vaseline for hand and feet care. Last winter I used it as hand protection instead of putting gloves on when taking my dog out for a walk. Worked surprisingly wonderful. And I live in Canada where winters can be really 🥶

Thank you for explaining the basic needs to rehab my nails. Simple GA and Vaseline. Bam. 💥 I have dermatillomania and have destroyed my nails and cuticles for decades. Press-on, glue-on, and straight up acrylics have been the only defense against my compulsions. It’s the tiny hint of a spec of cuticle skin, or the slightest unevenness of the nail shape and I am in the depths of compulsive picking. I will definitely try the slugging and hope for a new life. Painting my nails is the number one soothing activity for me so having nearly nothing to paint just continues the cycle of hell.

My internship in clinical psychology brought me to New York. It’s been fun, but it is incredibly expensive that I also feel I can’t really enjoy it to the fullest. Try slugging them at night with Vaseline petroleum. It has helped mine. I will start doing the under side too. I hope it will make them grow stronger so they don’t peel off.

Call me extra but since I started tret baaaaack in the XXst century, I massage what' s left on my fingertips over hands, wrists and cuticles. Amlactin or any body moisturizer on top and cotton 🧤 to sleep. My nails could now destroy Leonardo DiCaprio wilder than Mr Bear in The Revenant😅. I' m gonna be wearing sunscreen or UV gloves during the day anyways. 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

I just finished a really good book called The Berry Pickers, by Amanda Peters. It was a little slow getting into, but a great story about a missing four-year-old. It's well written, covers several decades, and has a very satisfying ending.

I would love videos on nail care and how slugging them is supposed to work. I've been trying to find videos, but my searches bring up stuff about nail cosmetics - polish and stuff - not actually caring for nails health and smoothness. The ends of mine are rough and ragged no matter how I cut or file, it's like there is something wrong with my nail and even filing is causing some sort of very small scale breakage if that makes sense? This didn't used to happen.
