Yeah that's true! I love hearing what works for others and hearing their ideas gets me thinking outside of the box. especially with things I have little knowledge about. Maybe someone else has an idea I would have never thought of that would make things even easier lol. I can't believe I waited as long as I did to mess around with these because of how fast it was. I was always super skeptical because I didn't ever want to get a bunch of any kind of product on my skin. But with some common sense that I managed to have I avoided that, hahah. I'm definitely going to try acrylic when I get better at it or have more confidence to do that. @HaleyDawn 85 Weird, I left the name of that girl and it didn't post. Her KZbin channel is Llysnails and she only does acrylic with dual forms. I believe she teaches classes but as a nail tech you can easily learn from a video of hers. I really liked using acrylic with dual forms. I have to go to my house and get those Swarovski crystals and I will send you pictures because it would be so cool to see you use them. I will go do that and I will message you on Instagram.

YOU are the beautiful one. Not even kidding! My non-dominant hand has always been the bane on my existence, lol. Takes me so long to do most of the time, especially when I want to do something more intricate, so this solves that problem, I can paint any design I want inside and then put product on them and BAM! done! I totally know now why people have hyped them up so much over the last few years. They are worth the hype in my opinion, lol. You should totally give them another go! I love your beautiful face! I turned 50 last month so became a nail tech late! I made first video on other channel other day and it’s probably not great but I’ll learn from it with editing and voice over etc. my nail room is painted so will be getting carpet next week! Which non stick builder did you use? Most of the ones I have feel like they cure almost rubbery and not hard if that makes sense? I'd love to try them with a good non stick if you have any suggestions! I'm going to wait till I have a little more practice before I try with a hard gel or builder gel. I might have a tip for you. Just build a small wall with "normal" gel around the cuticle area before applying the dual form. This will prevent the polygel from running into the cuticle area. Of course only if you aren't pressing the dual form too hard down. Greetings from Germany 🙂

Just use a builder gel 🙂 I'm not a fan of dual tips. Some of my nails grow broader towards the free nail edge. So when I'm using a dual form which fits around the cuticle area and leaves enough room for gel there it won't do the same at the free nail edge, since the nail is broader and takes up more of the space in the form. I'm ending up with nice formed nails but by far too thin at the side walls. My favorite method: paper forms. I especially love, that you don't see the transition between the natural nail and the gel, because they blend well with each other. I really dislike it, when you see on the bottom that they are fake nails.

I like making press-ons with full cover tips because I'm terrible with my non-dominant hand! That way I can take my time with them. Sometimes I'll take like 3 days on a set lol I can also make multiple sets for using in the future. I've tried dual forms with polygel a couple times. My left hand turned out ok, but my right hand somehow ended up way too thin on my nail bed and *SUPER* thick on the free edge😂 You did a pretty good job here!

I will have to try them with the nonstick gels. Is there one you use a lot? A lot of the ones I have are almost rubbery when they're cured so I don't think they'll work great for dual form application but if there is one you've used and works great, I definitely want to try it out! Try working your way up to long nails. Thats how I did it. I would just go a little longer each time. Or I would just keep the length when doing a fill instead of cutting them down. Saw your upload thumbnail and forgot I can speak English when I read Russian almond and proceeded to make dolphin like sounds! Thank you for sharing your process I’m also a Russian almond girl, that an edge are my favourite shape to wear. Was wondering if you could use the can opener thing for retrieving your card from ATM machines. As a tip I’ve found when working on my own nails with duel forms I work from pinky first through on down to thumbs, I find it easier this way as I’m clumsy as hell.

I’ve wanted to try the Russian almond for about 2 years. But they only come in long and I can’t do it. I have to wear short because of work. I only use Polygel with the lazy girl method. I’m so used to the non stick solid gels I just don’t have the patience for much more 😂 lived the video 🫶

They're not exactly dual forms, but for a long time, those were called top forms how she does it. You could either leave them on or pop them off. She definitely made that technique explode for sure, though, and came up with a cute name for it! Love ya tons! Xoxo

Isnt that super cool!? I was floored when my friend Erika told me what it was lol. I would have never thought about it being that. I laughed through this because I know exactly what you're talking about with coins or anything flat and knowing how people are looking at you thinking that. I've had that happen soooo many times. What I've found that works for me, is to put one finger from my left hand on top of the coin (usually my index) and then I use my pinky on the edge of it to lift the edge. the trick is to keep it from sliding around on the floor, so you don't give them even more to laugh about lol. Most of the time that helps me but sometimes it's just a laughing matter and other times I'm like... screw you coin... you are staying on the floor/ground where you fell you little sucker.
