Too bad you didn't go to the vendors site because I got all the colors in yard long segments for almost the same price as Amazon. Too bad you wasted it like that....chopped up mylar or cellophane is so cheap and it's the same thing.

I've wanted to get that ever since watching Julia use it on her channel. I love the look of it heated and then laid down in your mold. Awesome. Your skull came out great. Oh, I've made my own confetti (chunky glitter, hallographic film) from cutting up pieces of a cellophane holographic bag and I just chopped into little bitty pieces and it's gorgeous when poured. I just keep it in an old medicine bottle. A little goes a long ways.

If you weren't going to use heat and fuse it together to intensify colors, you should've just used cellophane. It wouldve been a lot cheaper with the same results. If you're going to cut it you should crinkle it first. Much better results.

I found this stuff at my dollar store and it came four sheets to a package very cheap put they did not have a wide variety of colors but it dies many things shrink crunch chopped or cut to shape I do love it the sheets were the size of two pages of paper togeghersimething like 9' ×14' so gmquite large I rolled it for storage I hope you can find some at the dollar store I bought this before I even knew what it was I don't think they call it fantasy film but its sure seems to be the same the affects in resin are spectacular !

Ah, yes! Dollar Tree had some holographic cellophane that was pretty awesome. I won’t say that it is the same as Fantasy Film. I believe there were 4 colors and it was in with gift wrap/celebration part of the store. I have bought Fantasy Film from Morezmore. While they generally sell sample packs, it is normal to get regular Fantasy Film in 4” wide strips. I have only run across one company in the US to sell it in larger chunks and they didn’t sell a wide variety of colors for those large pieces. From what I saw the stuff I got from Dollar Tree is standard cellophane in that it was thin and very easy to crumple up. (Angelina) Fantasy Film was thicker and is compatible with Angelina Fiber. Both forms of Angelina (Fantasy Film & Fiber) are known for being fusible. Some people have also included Angelina Film & Fiber into their quilts! So…Fantasy Film has greater durability, *but* it is a form of plastic sheeting and that makes it similar to holographic cellophane. Another thing people will use to copy the effect of Angelina Fantasy Film in resin is sheets of holographic/iridescent cellophane for the broken glass in nail art…. Those sheets are even smaller than the 4 inch standard Fantasy Film sheets. There are different ways to monkey with things. Little Windows (on KZbin) was selling what they called “dichroic film” which seems to be either Fantasy Film or nail art film. They did their own cool techniques, too. I think they’ve been selling it for over a decade.

Turned out really pretty. 😁 My only concern is that pouring the film into the mold first without coating it in resin makes it stick to the silicone so that resin can't get around it. That means part of the film is exposed in the end which means it can be accidentally damaged. 😅

Oohh, good point. I hadn't even thought of that as something that could happen. New fear unlocked. 😆 I was very lucky that I didn't have that issue. I was seriously considering mixing the pieces into the resin before pouring, but worried that would cause a larger amount of bubbles, and would also just send the cello straight down to the bottom of the mold.

@@JustCallMeMeghan You can always do a coat of UV resin on the inside as a "just in case' measure. It's probably the most likely part to get damaged if you put something inside. 😅👍

Because angelina film is made to be used with heat to fuse it together. That adds depth & more colors. This could've been done with regular cellophane. Crinkle before cutting tho.

it is a deep mold and to make it do right it is best if you pour 2 layers i found that out the hard way that may be why the cap wont fit right as well, but that piece looks awesome

The fantasy film is gorgeous! I noticed that Pouring Your Heart Out mixes her film into the resin then pours it, wondering if that helps with bubbles?
