Oh my son! Agusi is a typical Ghanaian and Nigerian food! All over Ghana especially Akan areas! Where do u come from? Every chop bar cooks it too. Ask every Ghanaian about Agusi stew! What??! It's usually mixed with kontomire. That's the white stuff u see mixed in kontomire stew. Are u serious? Even the foreigner knows about Agusi. Oh my gosh! I see that u like to take these foreign guests around, so please please learn more about the country becos, the whole world is watching and listening to everything u say about your country, and they take it as the true facts, so try to learn about the foods and different cultures and traditions of the country u are born and grown up in. Fufu is also in most of West Africa, just like jollof is West African. Cameroon, ivory coast, and Nigeria all have fufu too. I don't think they copied from us, I don't think fufu belongs to Ghana, it just happened to be a West African food. I hope u take this advice and learn all these things to proudly teach about Ghana to your guests. U made a lot of mistakes with the 2 young men from Kenya too. Burundi traveller's and his brother. Thank u!
@rainbow3649Ай бұрын
@@QueenDestaSorry about the young man's mistakes. Yes u were right, Egusi is a typical melon seed ground and made into stew, typical and very common in Ghana and Nigeria. It's mixed usually with green leaf stew and whatever protein u want, and served with boiled yam, rice, plantain cassava or whatever starch u have, even our soft version of Ugali called BANKU, if that's what u like. It's a very common stew. U guys could have asked for it at where u ate the fufu, they have it right there. It's a very common food. I was very surprised that he had never heard of it. Anyway, welcome to Ghana! Asante Sana!

Ugali is prepared like Akple. It is a popular food among the Ewes in the Volta Region. It is normally eaten with fetri detsi or okra soup.
@MrRichasoАй бұрын
It is mostly eaten as a supper or lunch meal. But of course. Its eating has evolved over time . Originally eaten by the Ashantis as a dinner meal. It is.populary cooked at weekends not just on Sundays as its preparation takes a lot of time. In the villages it could be eaten every evening as supper coz of easy availability of food stuffs

Fufu is the dish of the Akans (the Twi-speaking people). But in Ghana here we are not too tribalistic. Dishes from different tribes are eaten everywhere in Ghana. For example, Waakye - people from the north. Kenkey - fante and Ga Apesie - Akans Banku - Ga and Fante , Kelewele - Ga etc.

Ugali is banku but instead of the Kenyans soaking the corn or maize before they send to the grinding machine, they grind the maize dried like ekueghemi maize flour

And it’s similar to Akple by the Ewes
