i am using windows 11 but i used windows 7 till after 1year of windows 11 release then i shift on windows 11 from 7. and i think either you used too old version of windows 7 itself or something is wrong with iso file or installation you done because steam and epic games are easily working including java. We can do all things with windows 7 till now accept latest version of python and browser update but python latest version and what is running on windows 7 programmers will be fine there are no mager changes. so, windows 7 is still perfect for normal people and for gamers too
