That aerial is a tricking aerial. Danny Etkin is a very talented tricker - a sport combining flipping, break dancing , and martial arts. That said , a tricker aerial is off-axis as opposed to a gymnastics one which is fully inverted.

A kaboom is a back sommersault for your back where as a “monkey roll” is just a back pull over you did back pullovers
@MikeyCarter19745 жыл бұрын
I just made my own comment but it's funny how multiple terms overlap. I was taught a "kaboom" is the double bounce you do by smacking your legs as the trampoline is compressing. As I've heard kaboom used in more skills than a kaboom backdrop pullover. Like a toilet bowl (search for Trampoline Gymnastics Tutorial: Toilet Bowl (Signature Trick) )... that's a fun skill to learn.

tricker aeriel. for a b-kick you dip your chest, then lift it up to get air. For an aeriel (or is this ninja aeriel?) you throw your chest down and kick to get the air. it's not really vertical tho, usually ends up being more diagonal. Even Farang's Pasha's aeriels are a bit diagonal.

Something that annoys me about these tutorials is that they don’t tell you you need at least a solid tuck before a standing full. If you can’t spot the ground in a tuck you will lose all center in a full. You can’t just take someone who has never tumbled and think that that they can learn a standing full. Tumbling is a building skill and you need to start from the beginning. You can break your neck if you don’t rotate the full enough or get up in the air high enough. The tutorial they give doesn’t really emphasize how much you need to jump to get enough air time to rotate the full. You should at least emphasize that you shouldn’t just attempt that standing full tutorial unless you have a back tuck

I personally do competitive trampoline and had a few comments about your 'kaboom' trick. Firstly, instead of simply landing in a back drop with your feet in the air, you need to land in flat back like in the video when his legs where one the trampoline. Second, still intending on doing a flat back, push backwards so you back hits the trampoline little before your feet so that you 'double bounce' your feet into the air again. After your feet bounce back up then you Tuck to return to your feet. What you guys ended up doing was what we call a back Pullover to feet (basically a backwards roll without hands and a little bounce). Kabooms are a very difficult trick to master and really should be attempted with out a coach spotting or supervising. I really don't recommend trying them outside the gym. Also, Maggie was correct that you guys weren't on an Olympic trampoline so it was probably more difficult. Hope this helped! ❤

Not sure if this was covered but the "Kaboom" is the feet smack. The goal is to essentially double bounce yourself. So as the trampoline is compressing you smack it with your feet to compress it further than just your initial backdrop alone.

YOO DANY ETKIN!!! He's like the best martial arts tricker ever. However, he is showing something called a tricker's ariel where it's very different from a gymnastic's ariel. You do a butterfly setup but instead of your body going across it goes diagonally towards your knees. It's the closest I got to my ariel versus the gymnastic version. So if you are interested you have to look up how to do a butterfly kick and then began to get your chest and head facing like a cartwheel vs your chest up during the kick. BUT I can't wait to go head to head with him at nationals tho!!

My'Aija Saunders Yeah, I don’t believe you. First of all, you don’t train above your level because that’s not how proper gymnastics training works. Also, the qualifications you need to be a level 8 gymnast are very simple and completely doable for someone who is 10 years old so even if you were it really is not that impressive.
