when i was a 4 year old kid my little sister was a baby in the hospital with meningitis and my mom stayed with her day and night (she is fine and healthy now, they had caught it very early stage) and so my dad took care of me without my moms help, and he did my hair....... he put it into 18 different braids sticking up all over my head. my mom saw when we went to visit them in the hospital and my mom was shocked. i think it's impressive that he knew how to braid. he really tried to make a cool style! but after they came home from the hospital he never did my hair again. haha. god bless xoxo

The trick to thick “loose” braids is actually to do a tight as hell braid and then pull it apart. That way you get the close fluffy stitches rather than skinny thin stitches.

Violet soul Pulling from the edges of the stitch and slowly working your way to the middle part of the stitch also helps if you have thinner hair.

The trick is to curl your hair and use something to give it texture before braidings. Extensions would definitely help too.

N. Johnson I think it’s because she doesn’t fake tan as much, and her skin tone is complimented by darker hair colors which she has been sticking with more and more. She also doesn’t go as crazy with makeup(like on a day to day basis), which is really good for her because she had lovely features, and subtle makeup helps to bring them out more than the more Intense makeup she did when she was younger. honestly, we stan a beauty guru.

I never comment but dang girl, I think you and a lot of commenters need help. The reason it goes flat again after you've pulled your braid is because you're pulling an entire piece when you try to fluff it. So think of it like this: You have three strands -- let's call them Kermit, Peach, and Marble. You've braided them together and now are ready to pull them a bit. When you start with the Kermit strand, only grab a third of it rather than trying to loosen the whole thing. Take the outermost third of the Kermit strand and spread it away from the rest of the Kermit strand, KEEPING THE REST OF THE KERMIT STRAND TIGHT. Then move to the Peach strand and pull out the outer third of that, KEEPING THE REST OF PEACH TIGHT (har har). Then move to the Marble strand and pull out the outer third of that, same as before. And so on and so forth until you get to the bottom of your braid. Because you've kept the structure of Kermit, Peach, and Marble intact, the bits you pulled will maintain their voluminous effect. It's not so much about "loosening" the braid as it is about just spreading it. =)
