I didn't hit the guy! If I did I would not be saying "IT WAS WORTH IT" I would have been saying "sorry sorry sorry sorry". EVERY TIME someone got behind me in this race I pulled over immediately. That was too much to ask of everyone else apparently, so I had to make due. Or is it make do? Hmm, never written that down before.

yeah, his passing technique is pretty bad. the good way to do it is by asking for a pass, then waiting unless theres a load of space to pass in which case you just go. bumping into people is one of the more disrespectful things to do during a race
@polishguywithhardtospellna82275 жыл бұрын
@@producersRus I would agree with You unless.....a waver. It's there for a reason, it's there for the race, it's there for you will be passed and it's not 20 foot wide track. And btw, on a 20 foot track cars are colliding too, no one complaints that they have scratched bumper. That's why I commented above-people need to take initiative and organise meetups for chill out rides or good pace rides or whatever. MUCH MORE value, much more enjoyment and much less risk. I'm not a good navigator in the mountains, but I know: I-me-myself need to learn to navigate better, to enjoy mountains more, cause taking part in a race is not a way to have guided mountain trip.

Want to say thanks a ton for making the videos! People ask me what the race was like and I pull up your videos and show them. Seems like the hot topic between your videos and Paul's is trail etiquette at BCBR. I've done the race twice now and patience and politeness are necessary skills to pack right along with your spare derailleur hanger and sleeping bag. You have to experience the race for yourself to really know what it's like trying to maneuver around an international field of so many riders. There are a lot of different cultures out there and that does translate to the way people ride and behave on the trails. Riding across such diverse terrain for so many miles also exposes tons of strengths and weaknesses in every rider. The two biggest factors were fitness and downhill skill. There were a lot of riders out there who had pretty damn impressive fitness but the second the trail turned downhill...you could tell they had very limited (or no) previous exposure to riding like that. That was a little frustrating but the way I thought of it was like this...If I want to get out ahead of riders like this...I should have got myself in better shape. Justifying being a prick on the trails because "it's a race" is totally bogus in my opinion. Your attitude transcends the race...I like BKXC's videos the best from that regard because he acknowledges that you will feel frustrated at times...but it's important to keep it in check and be respectful to your fellow "racers". And...throwing temper tantrums on the trail leaks a TON of energy.

Typical nature of people now a days, walking on the trail and lets not make room for riders who are actually riding their bikes on the trail esp in a race. Lets stay right in the middle of the trail and be an inconvenience but lets place the blame on everyone else. That's society now a days no matter where you live in the world, lets not take responsibility for our own actions, because its always someone else's fault and if we complain enough about it, we'll get things handed to us. ..complete b.s.
