FYI Lekker cake is a semi-traditional snacks. It was actually a pancake that introduced by the Dutch in collonial period. Indonesian modified it into thinner form and change the topping into a filling. The name itself is a Dutch word that mean "delicious"

You need to try Martabak & Martabak manis or as Balinese call it Terang Bulan, also there is a place in city centre that opens at night time untill the morning 6am maybe & they make Gulai Kambing (lamb), you will eat at least 10 bowls cause its so so so good

@@alexandwhite hey man. I'd have to say tongseng kambing or tongseng sapi. Goat or beef spicy soup. Full of onions, cabbage and chilies. Really tasty. Especially if you feel fluey. I eat here in Cambodia. Lived in Jakarta for 18 years, for better or worse 😉

Hi mister alex hope u stay healty and safe.. Oh talking of all vegetable menu which you eat at first is not chinese food it is real indonesian food. Gulai sayur (jackfruit& cabbage), kentang mustofa/kering(potato chips), lalapan(raw vegetales and fruit). And yes you're right leker is crepe. In the past indonesia is dutch colony their bring it and introduce to indonesian people and say "lakker" mean delicious, that is why indonesian named leker/lekker

hai alex, i suggest u go to the outside of this premium area if u wanna try the the real street food in Jakarta, because is more affordable and cheap rather this one, maybe u can check another channel to see a recommendation, happy to see u enjoy Jakarta so far since u in Jakarta a couple days ago:) and ya u make a new friends there haha:)
