Great video, nice to see the failures too! It looks really challenging to climb DWS from the land in this place. I've always done it from the water, with no goal to top the routes. I just climb as high as I feel comfortable, then downclimb or jump to get back to the water / boat / paddle board etc. It's fun to traverse, also fun to find circuits you can lap and hit multiple routes in a single link. The possibilities are endless with this freeform version of climbing!

Loving the series, Jakob, super cool to get a peek inside with you guys. Think this one is actually 8a+ with perfect beta? Or perhaps harder? Also seems to have a few different options for the line once you’re on that finishing prow.

What can you say about the grading in deep water soloing? Is it similar to normal sport climbing routes? Because as far as i know sport climbing in this grade you guys would easily onsight it

@derekcraig3617 Regardless, 8a+ is normally a warmup for these guys. Three goes for each, one of whom is in the top 3 all around climbers ever.....I think Chris is grinning ear-to-ear.
