So funny how products work differently. Yummy foundation was a BIG fail for me, but this stuff...pffft. I freaking LOVE this product! After my 8-hr wear test my skin kept getting better and better! I'm wearing it over a new foundation today and same thing, my skin looks flawless! No oils, yet a natural glow, pores are blurred, looks amazing. I hope they never discontinue this. I'm so sorry it didn't work for you!

Same here! I wore it today for the first time (translucent) and my skin looked better at the end of the day! It’s crazy and it’s a killer eye primer!

@@d.m.3133 isn't it crazy?! I tested out 3 shades (Universal, 1, and 6). I found I preferred using a damp sponge and also used universal to set the skin. Did you use foundation? I didn't yesterday but did today and it looks just as good either way for me

@@DanielleNicoleMakeup I used a brush and I used my Loreal balm foundation over it. I never needed any touch ups and I normally do in my tzone.

Years ago, Benefit had a balm product called Mr. Goodbar. I think it was basically the translucent equivalent of this.

I didn’t know how I would feel about the texture and setting my whole face with it so I ordered a deeper shade to use and bronzer. Oh my goodness it is the most glorious bronzer. It goes on like butter and blends like a dream!

@@realness2b I am pretty close to Steph’s skin tone…maybe half a shade to a shade darker. I got the shade 6 and it’s pretty perfect. If I get some summer color I will prob order a slightly deeper color though.

@@SteffsBeautyStash I saw that. What a bummer! I read up on it and some people use 2 to 4 different colors depending on what they are doing. That's too much work for me lol. I'll try it as a primer and if that doesn't work maybe I'll try to set with it. If neither work, I'll pass it along LOL.

I agree. I would try it as a primer or foundation. A makeup artist may be able to splurge and get different shades to use for contouring and bronzing etc

Will you be reviewing this as a light foundation? I'm wondering if it sank into lines and pores because you applied three layers of product. Not sure if I should order if it's going to emphasize texture and other flaws. I thought it would be good for summer.

I have straight up oily skin and don’t wear foundation because it breaks up during my nine hour shift. I do use a matte primer. I might pick up the translucent one.

Also you used the tinted version for all the steps. I wonder if when used as a setting powder, the universal shade is more likely to take the place of a translucent powder successfully. Definitely a product to play with sing the form is so new. I'm also curious how it would work with a lower coverage less emollient foundation.

Lol I just commented everything your saying in your final thoughts guess I should have wait until the end so I could have just said I totally agree with you 😂 try setting with it but not priming and don’t use a lot I haven’t used the spatula I just dip a dense foundation brush in and put it on like that. And I have combo (right now dry) and 🤫 don’t tell nobody almost 50 skin

I think the shade number 3 is better for your skin because the number 2 was very pale, and that one you can use it as a concealer next time you can use little bit of powder to set it, I know that DM said that no powder but you can, and only use the balm as a foundation, you can try it that way, maybe work better.

Was super excited to hear your thoughts on this! I picked it up, it sounded like just what I'm looking for. But perhaps too good to be true. Many claims, hard to believe it could be a primer, foundation, and powder all in one and do all those things flawlessly. But it had to do at least 1 thing well, at the very least, right? But I can't help feeling it did none of those things well. As a primer, I didn't find it blurring or enhance longevity. As a foundation, I didn't find it melted into my skin or looked natural. I thought it looked gummy and pastey, like I had mixed flour with Benefit Porefessional. As a powder, it didn't mattify for long or keep me shine free, despite the claims it controls oil and shine through the day. I was really excited for this product. It's definitely innovative, but it also has to perform. And I have to say I was left feeling confused 🤣 and disappointed. I thought it was going to be the J.Lo triple threat of base products, but it ended up a pastey mess on my skin.

I think you and I had the same experience lol! I didn’t notice any mattifying from it. All I saw was a nice glow, which is fine, but my t-zone needs to stay matte lol! Appreciate you watching!! 💚💚💚

Hey beautiful, I live in South Florida so the humidity is bad here too so I’m excited for this review. Looking forward to your skincare declutter video. 😂 at the glitter. The balm consistency would throw me off too & too bad it was getting cakey. 10 hours wasn’t bad but I expected more oil control too. FW & have a great day

I used the serum the foundation and set with the balm and it worked beautifully I have dry skin so when I tried priming with it and setting it was to matte in my opinion. For anyone with dry skin I suggest prepping with a really good moisturizer especially if you want to prime and set. Also I used a dense brush and then went in with a beauty blender I also powdered lightly under my eyes (I didn’t bake) and I didn’t have to touch up I wore it about 8 hours one more thing use it sparingly like the foundation a little goes a long way to much and it starts feeling heavy even though it layers well I noticed I liked it less when I wore to much

I have shade 3 and it’s a good match for me, I have worn this as a primer and foundation as it looks finicky to be a setting powder, I’m worried it may move anything underneath it. I have oily skin and was expecting more of a matte finish, blurring and oil control but not really 😞

It's so crazy how different people with different skin types can feel so different about the same product. I was watching Tania B Wells video on this bomb & she said how she prefers to wear it as a foundation, and our girl Steff here prefers it as a primer.

I feel you on the heat and humidity! I live in Arkansas... It's going to be 95 and high humidity with the best index above 100 by early next week. Ugh. I think it is meant to work as all those things, but you might need to choose one, and not use it as both possibly. I think it looked like too much was used. That just cakes up the product possibly. If you use it as a primer, then maybe not use it again as a setting powder? And if you set with it, don't use it ahead of time as a primer. Although I could be totally wrong LOL!!! (I just made it the end, where you said all of this LOL)

I haven't tried this brand yet. It's interesting that this product is meant for oilier skin, but on camera it shows as very glowy! Like you had face oil, and it never got matte. The skin looked good, but it's strange that it wouldn't be good for drier skins, when in fact, it's not helping to control oil either. Hmmm 🤔
