I go to Country Bear Jamboree several times every trip to do my part to save it. I wouldn’t really say it’s nostalgia for me, I just think it’s such a fun show, so I don’t want to see it go, but more importantly I don’t want it to get replaced by a screen attraction. I love that it is original, too, and I’m sure when it does get replaced it will probably be a cheap attraction without animatronics just going through the story of a movie, which would be sad.

Im OG as well, mostly Anaheim. I'll never understand the sporadic outrage from some fans. Losing minds over splash. But no outcry for tearing up the gazebo performance space and Lillians rose garden to build a princess bathroom. Or the staircase in NOLA square for club 33 expansion. So many christmas card photos taken on that staircase.

I go to country bears on every trip. I have no nostalgia as I’ve only been going for a few years. I just love the show. It’s usually almost half full when we go and closer to full when it’s hot outside. Would be very sad if they got rid of them.

When I was little, my parents took my sister and I into Country Bears Jamboree. And then my sister and I went when I was in college and I actually understood what they were singing about, which I asked my mom why she ever took my sister and I into the show, and she said “You were little! You just liked the singing bears! It was fun for us adults!” I would love for them to update it but still keep the charm. Same with Carousel of Progress - it’s one of my favorites and I feel that I’m the only one who goes in there, but it needs an update.

Tim, this is the first time I’ve ever gotten mad at you! I LOVE the Country Bears! I brought my boys to WDW for their very first visit back in January 2020 before the pandemic. I was so excited to share the Bears with them. I told them how much I’d loved it as a kid at Disneyland. Did they think it was corny? Yes, but they also thought it was really funny. They loved “Mama don’t whoop little Buford “ and fell in love with Big Al just like I did at their age. On their second trip to WDW, they made sure we saw “mommy’s favorite.” They loved seeing the characters on the balcony, too. Aside from my sentimental feelings, it’s a great place to beat the heat there! It’s a good place to just sit and enjoy the A/C and classic Disney. I feel like it’s necessary to have attractions like that where you have can step out of the crowds and relax for a few minutes. I’ve already watched my beloved Bears close once here at Disneyland. Please don’t give Disney any ideas about yours! (And even though I may have yelled at you while watching this video, my family and I still love you guys!)

and dear Tim, just to add to my last comment as well~ It truly is bigger than just 1 single attraction or ride. Things are timeless for such an important reason~ Perhaps it is not changes that need to be made to these timeless pieces of history and heart, but a reprioritizing how we will go forward and teach our children and the future generations, to appreciate that past and love it and cherish and keep it alive always. Some people stop and watch the piano player near Casey's Corner, or smile at the Dapper Dans going by, or enjoy the ducks on the lawn as they pass~ SO many of the original attractions like these, have that same meaning to the hearts that love them and have always loved them, and always will. Thank you so much Tim.

“There should be an amusement enterprise built where the parents and children could have fun together” - Walt Disney. Not everything in the parks are about children and the next generation lots of people love that show and may only go to Disney once every few years or maybe just a few times in their life. So when they do it would be nice to enjoy that nostalgia. I do find it very easy for someone in your shoes that lives right near the parks to maybe get bored with the same old rides and shows, but not everyone has that convenience

Dear Tim, we are one of you and Jen's top followers. We have loved you with all of our hearts... We love you and Jen's hearts so much, and your sweetness, and the goodness you bring to the world. We love your Beautiful family, your Beautiful Jackson, and now, little Oliver. We always love how you and Jen are sweethearts~ We always want to write to you and send you love and beautiful messages. We thank you for all of your videos, but we feel so emotional after watching your last video here in Magic Kingdom. Dear Tim, even though it is your feeling and opinion that the Country Bear Jamboree is outdated, and you would not be sad to see it go... We were devastated to hear this for so many reasons... This is not what so many of the good people's hearts feel toward the Country Bears, along with so many of the original nostalgic rides and shows in the Disney Parks. Walt's original rides and attractions are a part of the past that we cannot ever forget or discard. It was Walt's dreams and joys, and the nostalgia in that alone, is something to be treasured and cherished always... and passed on to future generations. And all of the original imagineers that created the original attractions, (this was their mark on history of innovation and creation), that have been beloved by families for decades. We have read some of the other comments and we echo so much of the heart, of what the other users are expressing, (for their hearts for this attraction, and for the nostalgia of the original rides). From the people who have personal heartfelt connections to their loved ones, to the people commenting on how we need the gentle attractions like these for rest and calmness. But, also, so importantly~ In our ever-changing world and fast paced society, we must be so careful. Room for progression and growth can always be a good thing, but to erase the past, is never okay. DIsney World is not just for the young children. It is for families and the older generations who have been coming and building memories with their loved ones for years. Country Bears Jamboree is a Masterpiece. Perhaps we need the children in today's society to slow down a bit.. We should not base our future on the youth. We need to help our youth grow in being taught to appreciate, love, and respect the past. (This is how you build a more beautiful society and more beautiful individuals)... This is a sad scenario if children today cannot be moved by anything less than technological fast paced entertainment and advances. There are all kinds of children in the world, and I can speak from my heart, that the mom and dad I was blessed to have, and the families out there who smile and like to deeply take in the past with wonderment and joy and appreciation, build gentler hearts, which adds to a gentler society. Perhaps if parents could teach their children what it means to understand Walt Disney, and the magic behind these original attractions, then that is what should be done... to preserve and relish and appreciate the simplicity, and the innocence, and the sweetness... If you watch Dev Patel's latest video about the Wilderness Resort being undone and changed~ His cries out to all the changes being made and the letting go of the nostalgia for the true hearts who have loved Disney for being Walt's Disney, and all the wholesomeness and nostalgia that it brings, resonates straight to the heart. Country Bears represents so much. It represents the past and sweet innocence. It represents families and memories. It is a part of Walt's past. Country Bears represents the true gentle magic moments, that so many families go to Disney World for~ (The old fashioned and the simple are the most beloved for a reason and after all these years for a reason). To appreciate the Country Bear Jamboree, is to appreciate stop and smelling the roses. Disney has been changing so much~ If you change it all, there will be nothing left~ Children will have no appreciation for the past. It will erase so much. One day, someone may say, Cinderella is not modern, is so outdated, so we need to tear down Cinderella's castle and replace it with something new. Or Main Street represents a time in the past that had outdated mindsets, so let's put something else in Main Street's place. Someone also shared that the Country Bears they believed, was also one of the last attractions Walt worked on before his passing. The Muppets 3d is also the last project Jim Henson worked on. Keeping these attractions, keeps the memory alive of these two men is so important. This is such a deep level of sacredness for so many people Tim. Please don't encourage the New Disney machine to keep tearing down the past, values, and the original beautiful attractions and properties that mean so much to families and generations. Please don't let encourage the tearing down of magic. So many people may only get to go to Disney once in a lifetime, or they return after years, for the very reason, to relive their memories with their families and share it with and pass it down to their children. This is a beautiful thing. Afterall that is why it has lasted, that is why Disney is still around (from the Jungle Cruise, to Pirates of the Caribbean, to the Enchanted Tiki Room). Not everyone connects to the modern, to the fast paced, or to Batu. Country Bears is one of our family's favorites, and most beloved attractions we go to every time we return to DIsney world. My mom first went to Disney World in 1973 with her family. My grandfather saved his money to take my mom and her family. It was a dream for my grandpa and he instilled that appreciation in my mom and her family~ My mom passed that on to us. Sometimes with the hard things happening in our world, all I want to do is go and sit and return to innocence ~ This is what keeps our hearts going. We don't want to spoil the children of today and change the past, to satisfy the short attention span that is becoming an ever-concerning reality to the children in the world today. If parents can encourage and instill this appreciation and respect and gratitude in their children today, is what needs to be happening. We cannot rewrite the past, to please the children due to the limitations in the minds of children today, who are not being taught to appreciate the slower things in life and the past. Children today, will grow more, to appreciate the past and this will deepen their minds, and hearts, and spirits. It is up to us to keep the igniting the respect and excitement and joy for the past. We are creating our future by how we value our past, and what we tell our children today. Thank you Tim, for all of your videos. We love you and Jen.

Tim, I agree with you about Country Bears, but, from my experience, you are VERY wrong about Muppet Vision being unwanted.. lol I was there the first week of April (mid-week) and the waiting area was dang crowded! (Would be nice if they could update that part, though. The AC is practically non-existent in the area, and they keep packing them in! 😝) I used to love Country Bears when I was a teen, long ago. I agree, its day is over. When there on that last trip, the lyric, "I think you should sh**t him instead' ...talking about 'Little Bufford'... yeah, that kind of brought the idea home that it's had its day and it's time to move on. Hearing that made me feel uncomfortable, and no Disney attraction should make one feel that way.

I completely agree with your statement about the country bear jamboree! It’s the same as splash mountain. I’m glad they’re retheming it! I couldn’t understand why they would theme a ride after a movie that they won’t let anyone see! I understand why they won’t let people see the movie anymore but why theme a ride after it?

I 100% agree in regards to the Jamboree. I love the nostalgia of things but it gets to a point where that isn’t enough. Country Bear Jamboree always scared me as a kid, sadly. I’m all for keeping the bears but to update it so it’s more relevant and relatable to the younger kids.

When I saw the country bear jamboree… it was the best spot to take a midday nap. Nice AC, I could bring in a beverage and nice music to put me right to sleep. It was the perfect pick me up during my summer visit.

Those same kids will LOVE the Country Bears when they are older. There are plenty of attractions for the kids. I hate country music but love the Country Bears and continue to visit it each trip. And it takes up such a small footprint, it's an easy keeper for the older Disney fan. Plus, you vloggers seem to love it and Carousel of Progress because you always show those attractions.

Fun fact about the piano on Main Street: The hammers inside the piano were treated/replaced with plastic hammers instead of the typical ones so they would bounce off the strings faster, sound brighter, and play better for the style of playing they use on it.

No, Country Bears needs to stay. We're already catering to the newer generations with Tiana's Bayou Adventure, and many other new things that replaced iconic classic Disney attractions. There isn't much nostalgia anymore so we need to keep as much as we can.

To answer your question about the piano, it's basically muscle memory and LOTS and LOTS of practice. It's similar to the thought process that happens when you type. I remember my keyboarding teacher asking me if I was a pianist because I did so well. I told her, no, I play violin, and she nodded and said, same thing. Musicians make really good typists. So if you are good at typing, you have a small glimpse of what it's like to be a musician.
