Really quite impressed with how those blues from Elf worked! It's quite difficult imo to find blue shadows that work well and aren't patchy + sufficiently pigmented

I’m super impressed with the elf shadow sticks! I got the brown one and as a person whose eyelids are so oily I always have to use primer, this stick lasted very well on its own! Even in the crease it lasted for hours with no primer :)

I liked the blue shade eyeshadow. I’m going to buy it when I can. You combined it well with the light brown color eyeshadow. I know what you’re talking about the density in the cream blush. To compare it, the Stila cream blush is creamier and I recommend, it’s a fave. The Milani cream blush reminds me of how you described the cream blush you have, the product is thinner more sheer, but I also love. But I just love how you tried that light blue eyeshadow. It looks very nice on you! I just hope it looks just as nice on me ☺️

I had a sample of the CT Beautiful foundation (thank you Sephora) and I got irritation bumps from it, too! I just picked up the NARS yesterday. I did a super fast face this morning to go hang with my 11 month old grandson (delish). It looked so nice! When I checked it at home 6 hrs later it wasn’t looking so great up close, but there were lots of cuddles and baby fingers on my face. Round 2 tomorrow! It looks so pretty on you!

I’m in love with the Nars light reflecting!! I have oily skin as well. Feels SO light on the skin. Obviously it’s not as long wearing but it doesn’t break apart grossly st all. It wears beautifully even after 8 hours. So blurring and good for the skin, I’m literally excited to wear it every day.

The shade gobi in the nars might work best for you as it is light/fair with a slight yellow tone but not too yellow. I think we are shade twins when you’re pale. Get a sample!

I wasn't honestly that excited about the Danessa Myricks palettes when I first saw them, but seeing you try them and swatch them makes me feel like I want them. Or at least, the brighter one! Also, that's a really beautiful eye look, I'm obsessed with it.

I’m excited too, hi Julia! This was such a great video. The intermission may be unmatched, with the one kitty loves the fish, one kitty wants no part of the game. Elf shadow stick looks amazing! I love the fact that you love this company, as I do. Not to mention they are so reasonably priced and have good ethics. They have women of color at the top of their company, they are cruelty free and vegan. And those blues are stunning on you. I am OBSESSED with this Nars foundation!! It’s so blurring and I don’t even need to powder my oily t zone (I have maturing normal skin with an oily t zone). The DM flirt blush palette is my first blush from her, and I love it sm.

You are the first person I've watched to use the eyeshadow sticks as bases from this new Elf collection and I'm thinking your technique is the best way to get the most pigment from that new palette. I am drawn to the color story of it but have seen other reviewers disappointed with the light pigment laydown and powdery texture of this particular palette.

I agree about hyped products, that’s why a lot of the time I don’t trust reviews. I remember when the better than sex mascara was such a big deal… I hated it, there’s been a few foundations that were raved about that I hated also, but then the foundations with only a three star rating at Sephora, I ended up loving on my skin!

I have been enjoying the Nars foundation for a couple of weeks now. I love the way my skin is reacting to it. It feels softer since I began using it. I had a bad reaction to another product that left me with eczema patches alongside my nose and above my lip. This foundation has helped that issue considerably. I also picked up the Nars Afterglow blush palette and that is great as well. I find that I am using everything in the palette which isn't always the case for me.

I had to give up my Nars concealer after 3+ years bc it started giving me eczema 😞 needless to say all Nars products are off the table for me now but the foundation looks great!

In the nude danessa myricks palette you could use the brown as a pseudo-bronzer and the dark red sheered out would be so beautiful especially to mimic a little sunburn and on the lips! Thank you for trying the peaches, I would have NEVER thought it looked like that! Ps does floam smell like gak?

We see a lot of blue lately (perhaps the Pantone colour of periwinkle inspiring this trend), but it isn't my best colour either for my eyes or skin, but the Elf blue pen might be usable as a liner, so a hint of the colour? The Danessa Myricks look great too. I hope Cult Beauty in UK might bring in some new products from DM. Am close to buying the vision flush from DM in Ballet Slipper or Bread and Butter. ugh I miss tubing mascaras, I stopped using them once I found out they are bad for the environment/oceans as they are technically a "plastic" polymer that doesn't break down naturally. But the Caliray one claims to not have any microplastics 👀 I'll have to research the ingredients a little more and maybe give that one a try after all

for anyone curious, the second ingredient is Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, which in some countries is classified as a microplastic and can do the same damage as "microbeads." to each their own, we obviously can't avoid plastic in this day and age as consumers and this is a popular ingredient in many sunscreens and cosmetics, etc. among other polymers. just disappointed by the marketing tactics by these "clean" beauty brands lately
