Great but jute leaves are not originally from Egypt. It's in Nigeria too and the red stew gets it's colour from the mixture of tomatoes, pepper and onions. It can be made with palm oil or vegetable oil. Kudos. Thank you for enjoying Naija food

Great video. 👍 Just a couple of corrections: Amala is made with processed yam flour not cassava. Abula is gbegiri and ewedu if they are not combined it's not abula. I've recently learnt that people from Edo state also call cooked dough made with processed plantain flour amala.

EWEDU is an ancient Yoruba edible soup leaf. It dated 1000s of years back. Also, Amala is NOT from cassava tubber, but, Amala is from yam-powder, -a byproduct of yam tubber. You use yam to make lots of food, e.g Yam, pounded yam, Dundu, Amala, Asaro etc. Cassava on the other hand is another tubber. From cassava comes, Lafun, Gaari, Eba.
