I suggest using a deep conditioner. Color treated hair sometimes needs extra moisture for better results. My own personal lesson.

I would love to see you do a wavy hair routine like the ones in the "I didn't know I had wavy hair" videos. Because it looks like you might actually have a slight wave in your natural hair, which could explain the frizz you spoke about.

Not always. Especially if you're doing vintage curls (and especially using rollers) you have to keep brushing with a paddle brush and itll start off frizzy and become smooth. Thats how you get the uniform wave and curl pattern. But you need to use a pomade or, at the very least, a curl setting serum before curling.

If I brushed my hair, it would be so frizzed. Curls would be so broken. I also can’t imagine actually putting in any sort of curler product. I need my morning shower to wake up. But she looked lovely in all the styles

youre having a frizzy finish because youre not using any product before you curl your hair because deprivation of moisture + mainupation = frizziness
