Why do we do it??? Because we love it. Every year I say I'm going to cut back only to plant the same or more next year. I just came from watering the garden and what I had on is hanging on the lamp post out front along with my straw hat. I had 2/10s Sunday but am still needing a soaking rain. Those red potatoes look great and those October beans remind me of Grandma. She always planted them. Y'all have a great day!

"Slightly miserable" 😅😅 I think we are finally going to have a dry week so I'm going to pull garlic. Already pulled up reds and the whites are going strong, potato harvesting is always my favorite of all things. Its like digging for treasure. I've had heat stroke twice so I try to really know my limits. I worked at Noah's ark in the Dells for 3 summers my final summer got me with the heat, its no joke. Was that tobacco in front of the zinnias? I grew it last year for fun, its a pretty plant for sure. Someone told me it makes great pesticide?
@PineyWoodsHomestead4 ай бұрын
@@ht6684 the heat and humidity is rough! I think potato harvesting is our favorite too. It is a burley variety of tobacco. We grew it for the flowers that should come out soon. It has been used as a pesticide before but I'm not sure how effective or beneficial it is. Have a good day!
