TRYING ON DIFFERENT SIZES AT HOLLISTER

Today we're trying on different sizes at Hollister! I haven't been inside a Hollister store since probably 8th grade so I was a little nervous to film this #midsize try on from inside the fitting room...but it wasn't as bad as I thought! Being a size 14 body, you can tend to feel like *~trendy stores don't really want you in them but I'm happy to say my personal experience was really great. Hope you enjoy!

Caroline Winstanley that’s the issue ! It shouldn’t be on line. You should be able to talk into the store grab what you want and go, not sit there pay for shipping wait a week and have it end up being super uncomfortable then you have to go to the store return it and waste tome

@@dollsNcats I don't think it's specific to being mid size..any store that has a regular turn over of styles and ranges in a season is going to sell out in a shop! Even when I am buying clothes for my kids, who are standard size for their age, I regularly can't find something that they like in their size and have to order it in line. I don't think that we need to make it a discriminatory thing..a lot of people are mid size and those sizes can go first. Granted it is disappointing when you see something you like. I just collect in store and try there before going home. I do shop at Hollister often and on line it is often the XL and L that sell out first.. this is something that Hollister could take note of and make more in that size for a specific product.

Kayra Alvarez yea I understand that but I’m not even gonna lie I buy things from Brandy I’m a small person and their clothes fits good I have tried to not buy as much but it’s hard since their clothes is cute. Hollister used to have really small sizes and they weren’t marketed as a petite store. Brandy Melville isn’t classified as a petite or juniors clothes look all over their stores or websites it isn’t stated once. However Torrid does consider themselves a store with plus sized fashion. If Brandy considered themselves a petite store it’d be a whole different story

ah, hollister. I went in there once probably six years ago, i was currently a size 12/14 and the sales associate looked at me up and down and just said “our larger sizes are online” before i could even say hello to her. i have not gone back into that store since.

as a hollister employee, id recommend you try the size options in long (15L) the sizes come in regular long and short! also if theres ever a situation where your size is sold out in the store you can have an associate order it for you online with free shipping

It’s crazy how so many people had bad experiences shopping at Hollister in the past because they didn’t carry their size, but I have trauma from not being a size 0 like all my friends, and having to buy a 1 or a 3. Thank God I’m grown and past that unhealthy phase.

I remember when I worked at hollister, I was always the biggest one there. And I’m definitely by no means “big”. Lol The skinny “brand” girls were allowed to be more of the face of the store and I usually ended up in the back or working register. Hollister has traumatized me

I went into a Hollister the other day and was surprised as to how the inclusivity has gone way up. I saw a ton of jeans in sizes 32 or larger and a lot more L and XL tops.Even tho I wear a 24/00 and have always fit in their clothes, I was so happy more people were going to be able to find their size!

The first time I went to Hollister was in high school, I went in with some friends who loved shopping there. While they were shopping I looked at some of their tank tops and I looked up and one of the employees was looking at me and she scanned me up and down and laughed to herself. I remember going to a hollister in middle school. I had saved up my money so I could buy some jeans from there (because all the cool girls had them) I asked a worker to help me find my size, at the time I was a size 10, which was the largest size they had. She had to get a step stool to get my size down from the very top shelf. It was one of the most traumatizing experiences and I never went back.

I just wanted to say coming from a midsize girl who actually works at Hollister, they really have tried to expand their sizes but things definitely still run small and even though they have bigger sizes they do not have a lot of them in stock since their average customer is of a smaller size. Also, normally they do not have size 17 in store, it is an online only size, the only reason they would have it in the store is if someone bought it online and then returned it in store, so we then keep the item in the store but there is nothing else like it.

I just went to Hollister for jeans today and get back home to see this! Love the timing! I was actually feeling a bit awkward/too old (in my late 20s) to be shopping there with the young kids but seeing you do the same made me feel better. :) I think their jeans run a bit small but they fit me well (most skinny jeans are oddly lose at the knee and/or calf on me but not theirs). PS Not midsize (although about a 10 in the past) but I love your channel and Sierra too.

You can buy the jeans in tall/regular/short online!! Meaning the inseam varies and could help with the mid rise issue

It's funny you mention near the end of the video that they didn't have many sizes because your experience was basically the same experience I have whenever I go into Hollister: there are very few size 15 jeans available and usually no size 17s. I've seen a pair of size 17 jeans in Hollister maybe twice.

Target's Wild Fable line has a light wash/distressed mom jean that looks exactly like that one pair you liked! I can't remember if you've discussed the Wild Fable line before but I find those jeans fit me better than anything I've ever tried

When I shop at hollister I actually get longs and I feel it makes a big difference!! I’m 5’8” and it takes away the camel for whatever reason. Obviously that’s not an option for the crops. The super skinny vs the other fits are also very very different from each other too. Hollister is odd, but when you find a style and fit you love, it’s your jam. Hahaha. I used to be a die hard American eagle jean only girl and now I have a mix since rediscovering them again after the high school days

I recently decided to try out hollister as well and being a curvy gal in my 30s I definitely had the same feeling going into the store as you. I had great luck shopping through their app for available sizing and free store pickup. I have to say I found my holy grail jeans in their black vintage stretch ultra high-rise mom jean. I didn’t think they would have sizes to fit since I typically wear a 12 or 14 in jeans-but lucked out in the 13 or 15 in the mom jeans- love me some high rise. I never shopped there in middle or high school but had great luck w finding jeans there now haha interested in trying the curvy jeans too

i have like 4 pairs of of the vintage high rise ultra stretch(i’m a size 5 for reference) but the light ripped ones that you tried on fit a little tighter on me too even though all of my other jeans of that style fit perfectly and some are even loose- i think just as a jean in general they run a little small

Oo. Hollister messed me up as a kid. Their sizing was super small. Everything looked tiny even the large n extra large.
