Trying out 4 SUMMER FRAGRANCES from AHMED AL MAGHRIBI - Layya, Anab, Little Hearts & Kalemah

Welcome back, today I share with you my thoughts on 4 fragrances from AHMED AL MAGHRIBI, a UAE based fragrance house that has affordable but very high quality and long lasting fragrances. Thank you for watching

I just blind bought a bunch of fragrances from this house, mostly because I was intrigued by Anab. I was a little cautious at first since you said it reads very young, BUT… OMG it is delectable and exactly like eating frozen white chocolate dipped kiwi, with a side of sparkling iced kiwi juice. And then it settles down into almost a nutty quality, there is something very reminiscent of Rafaello truffles. Sweet, but refreshing. It is my favorite from the bunch. Second on the list is Oud Lavander, very relaxing herbaceous citrusy quality. I can taste the citrus almost, but it is not sour. I cannot really detect any oud, at least not on myself. So the name is misleading. A pleasant citrus lavander scent, however not soapy or shampooey. Perfectly unisex, good for daytime, or signature scent, or a very good work environment scent. I don’t see this offending annyone. Bidun esam is supposed to be saffron, rose, oud combo. It is very well received and highly rated. I however cannot detect any rose, oud is present, but not heavy or cloying. I must let this one macerate a bit, since I went immediately nose blind on first spray. Second spray on the card was just burned rubber quality oud. Third spray on the card revealed florals and lemon ice cream scent going on Ferry dish soap. Safe to say that one is an olfactory roller coaster, but I keep on going back to it and sniffing. Very promising. Then we have Musk Ahmed, which is supposed to be citrus, rose, jasmine, amber, musk. At first spray there was something very unpleasantly sweet. But as we all know, middle eastern scents have to sit a bit before they reveal themselves in their true form. As all these were just delivered to me, and I live in a gulf country where it’s currently 48 degrees Celsius outside,I couldn’t trust it immediately. So after sitting awhile in a heavily air conditioned room, this revealed itself to be quite pretty. Distinct orange note in the opening, a little bit sweetness from the florals and then a warm muskiness in the dry down. It smells clean, but warm, not boring, detergent type clean. There is a bit of darkness to it in the drydown, probably from amber. Last, but not the least, I got Sheukh as part of a gift set with Lavander Oud. What to say about Sheukh? It is apparently a recent offering from the house. Notes are supposedly cherry in the opening with jasmine, vetiver and sandalwood. First spray from a freshly delivered bottle was heavy, chemical ‘cherry’ car freshener scent. Don’t let that fool you. Now that it had time to settle its a bright mouthwatering sour cherry note in the opening, that settles into something more sweet and creamy, but not heavy. Quite surprising. I will enjoy exploring it more in the upcoming days. Also this one leaves a purple oily mark on the skin when sprayed up close, so be wary of spraying it on clothes. These are cheap and cheerful and all of them good for spring and summer. And I’d say most of them unisex with Anab leaning very very feminine.

Thank you for trusting my recommendations my dear, I'm very happy to hear you're loving Anab❤️🤗 Since the video, Anab it's on it's way to me, I just couldn't help it cause it so delicious, feminine and happy. Loved reading your feedback on these fragrances! I have a decant of Bidun Esam as well and it's such a beautiful fragrance, very different to the usual rose oud combos, I find it bright and dense, easy to wear in the summer time. The rose is there but it's not a dark rose or a syrupy rose, it's like a bouquet of pink roses to my nose. From what I've seen, the oud accord shines more on clothes after a good few hours of wear and because of the oillyness of the scent it sticks so well on clothes and it last very well, even for days. Now it's out of stock locally but I'm planning to add it to my collection as well when it will be restocked. I also have a sample of Oud Lavender and I agree, it's a perfect unisex for the summer time, I think it's for those who don't want a typical summer citrusy freshie scent, I have to test it more but I'm impressed by the scent. I find it relaxing and clean. You got my attention when you said cherries, I'm adding it on my to try list from Ahmed al Maghribi. I've been interested in trying out more cherry based scents and this one sounds right up my alley. @@AFragrantGlance I bought the discovery set on Amazon and I decided to go through all 29 of them before making a final purchase. So far they have all been good, I've only sampled 10, and the stand outs for me are Biden Esam, Rose Noir, Zuraique & Leen. You should know that I like feminine fragrances, and I don't really like oud unless it is very light. I've found Ahmed Al Maghribi a genius at doing oud that Westerners can appreciate. When I sprayed Kalimah I immediately loved it and when it got to the heart notes I loved it even more but I couldn't decipher what I was smelling. When I read the notes online I knew that this was not telling the full story so I went looking for a video where someone could describe to me what I was smelling. This is when I found you. You put into words what I was smelling. The fragrance is a masterpiece. Like smelling a Picaso through your nose. A Mozart composition for the nose. Masterpiece fragrance in my opinion. It is an original and smells like no other perfume. I agree that this will be incredibly polarizing but I can say without a doubt that the person who would appreciate this would be someone who likes horses, likes going into the stables and interacting with horses. If someone finds that calming then they are going to LOVE this! If I listened to your review prior to trying this I would say there is no way I am going to buy something that has a hint of fecal matter, LOL, this is crazy! But when encapsulated in the context of a stable, with hay (barnyard) and horses, with leather in the sun, the fecal matter note is geniusly composed while still smelling feminine which is surprising to me. That note lasts for only 2 minutes and it is very faint. If you didn't say it, I wouldn't smell it. And quite frankly that's what adds to the authenticity. The heart notes were very animalistic because of the horses, and a touch masculine, sexy and sensual and I wondered if they even put pheromones in this! Very seductive, attractive and would probably pull people into you without them even realizing what it was about your perfume that was drawing them in. It is a unisex fragrance. And then it dries down to the most beautiful creamy vanilla, smooth musk a soft sweetness that smells like velvety smooth moisturized skin. I have never experienced anything like this before. I would love to meet the perfumer who created this. Do you know who did this one? I would want to smell more of their creations. It was genius and how those notes were placed exactly where they needed to be is mind blowing to me. I'm still amazed that they can put liquid in a bottle and have it unfold in stages. How do they do this???!! Once you go through a journey with a fragrance that tells a story over the course of 1 hour, you can never go back to wearing linear fragrances they just smell so boring. Anyway, I applaud you on putting words to the notes because I wouldn't have been able to identify why I loved it until you said it. Equestrian chic, sophistication, sensual, elegance!💖 Needless to say I ordered it immediately!!!

This summer I discovered Trussardi Donna Edt. It is also a delicious feminine but not a gourmand. Pretty happy woman in summer :) Loredana, looking very pretty, your face denotes something special today. Liked the Choco- Kiwi reference :)

Perhaps Anab can be a go to sleep or watch TV fragrance but I am ordering a sample or decant or a used bottle definitely. It sounds like concept, a construct of magic :)

Thank you for watching my dear, I will keep this idea in mind ❤🌟 The lipstick is a very affordable one from the brand Trend It Up, it's their Everlasting Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade 060, formula wise it's not the best but the color is beautiful 🤗 I think in reality it's a tad darker than how is shows on camera

Thank you for watching! ❤️ The performance is very good, on my skin the longevity is above 6h and usually fragrances do not last well on my skin. In case you're interested in this fragrance they also sell a body gel in the same scent and if you layer the two the longevity will be even better, or you could use that body gel even as a base in different layering combos, it's very versatile and highly scented. ✨

Ahmed al Maghribi sells sets with the fragrance and a body gel in the same scent that you can use for layering, it's worth getting them together if you can find it 🌠
