regarding level 1 talents. Although you pick Q for the damage, you also get the ability to stack, and more importantly; reset your passive charge. that alone is almost enough for it to have more value than the other 2 talents. so many pieces in tassadars kit require fully stacked passive.

Other commenters seem to be misinterpreting ehat it means for Tassadar's Psionic Storm to "stack". Psionic Storm is a very well-delimited AoE where, for every target inside it, they take more damage from instance of damage it deals (twice per second), up to 100%. That means that, if someone stands for long enough in it, they will take twice as much damage from each instance of damage from then on that Psionic Storm would deal. In practice, if you stand in it for the whole duration, it expires right after dealing the first doubled up damage instance. But what if you could place another Psionic Storm there right as the first one was expiring? Well, remeber how I said that the increased damage was on a per-target basis? It means that if you layer another storm on top of the first one without your target "leaving" a storm, the damage they take will continue where it left off, so you could potentially drop a second storm that, through all of its duration, it will deal the doubled damage. And that's all that layering storms does: it allows you to extend the duration where a target could potentially take doubled damage. It does not cause targets to take a whole set of separate damage instances. That is what NotParadox means when he says "it doesn't stack". It means that, if you drop two Psionic Storms on a target 0.5 seconds apart and they stand on it, they will take exactly one extra damage instance from the storm. It does not mean they will take twice as much TOTAL damage. If you could drop two storms on a single target at the exact same time, they would take as much damage as they would with only one. You can test this in try mode by activating short cooldowns mode and dropping two storms on a single target less than a second apart. You will get something between 20 and 40% of the total damage of a single storm, instead of twice as much.

1) The main reason for Psyonic Echo is the increase of AOE coverage, you never want to hit the same area with Q. You throw W, the enemy hero starts running from the area, and then you land Q at the point enemy is directed to. 2) This also helps at infernal shrines and maps with chokepoints. You re doubling number of chokepoints covered with AOE 3) Also, people with 10% hp who run away don't expect any poison, and once you hit them with Q and AOE under them, you essentialy have landed a poison, since they need time to run out the center of the psionic storm

Since Tassadar got his rework I think the psyonic storm will stack if it is castet on a singel hero twice. It doesn‘t stack only on the old version of Tassadar in where the tooltip said that it wont stack

This new Tassadar is like Xerath from LoL, probably the most fun hero in that game. So a fun rework I think. The Q beam, the W aoe, and the E cc all match up. :p And yeah, I always grab Q lvl 1. For lvl 4, I will grab Q to stay alive, or W to kill better. At lvl 7, I will grab Q or W based on my lvl 4. The W will just be used to reduce mana costs of my Q, as a secondary bonus, lay down another W when it lands. I almost always go Black Hole. I use it to mostly peel for myself and teammates, and counter with kills. So I use it more reactionary and it removes a lot of the chance from it because I use it when they're committed in a direction. At lvl 13, I use all three. A slow, an escape and a heal as needed, but I favour the heal most occasions. Lvl 16 is always Thermal Lance. Every team has a tank. You use the tank as your initial target and line that shot up with backline teammates for maximum damage. At lvl 20, if I grabbed the wall at lvl 4 then I'll grab the wall at lvl 20 as well. If I go shock talent at lvl 4, then I will probably go for extra Spell Power so that I can snipe that much better. If I can't slow with my wall using the lvl 4 talent, then I won't be going into close range as much and will want to stick to relying on my Q. Archon to me seems a bit odd to me. Why would I play Tassadar in close range auto attack when there are other heroes who can do that much better? Sure, it makes you tougher, but also easier to stun and eliminate.

Well, I go for Q on lvl1, on 4 I pick the shield-AA, on 7 AA again, 10 for archon, 13 and 16 for Stealth and Executioners will and on 20 the Archon upgrade. The reason for me to go Archon-hybrid is that your lvl 7 Talent will make it easy to keep your beam fully charged, which will bring in a big cdr for your Q. Executioners will lasts as long as your beam is charged aswell, which also greatly helps with cd on q. This basically enables you to shoot a high-dmg Q every 2-3 seconds, while permanently building up shield. When archon is active, you are also locked in 100% charge for it's duration and with Twilight Archon, you can keep that up indefinately plus his AA-Range is noticably increased. To me, it feels heavily broken and I rarely end a game where I don't have a far lead in damage. I'd say this is the optimal way to play him, since you don't rely on your enemies to clump up in a W to take 50% of your total damage.

While I understand the psy storm debate, I disagree with not taking Psyonic Echo. Once you have the increase speed of damage later in the build, it has value plus it denies the area longer. Part of playing with the talent better is not rushing to the Q following the W. 3 seconds is a long time and storm only lasts for 3 seconds so if you know the timing of the ability, you know the window for the Q cast and can either drop a partial overlapping storm or counter muradin and others with repositions to punish them with more storm damage. While you are getting a faster Q, I think you can make a case for the damage potential to be as high if not higher.

The increased range is very good you can get alot of dmg with it and stay safe in the back line if you also choose create storm after hitting with 1e abillity and storm dmg 25% faster

I pick Beam Alignment (Q) at lvl 7 in practically all games, but it is particularly good against teams with more than one frontliner. Q is rather easy to hit on frontliners due to them having less wiggle room due to your own frontline's pressure, and with Q at lvl 1 you get 33% of your trait per person hit. So you hit 2 frontliners, AA for like a second and you get the CDR for 6 seconds, which you just have to lightly tap anything (even a wall, even a minion, even a merc) from 7.5 range to refresh. Not to mention it immediately activates if you pop Archon, which significantly increases your sustainted damage. It melts tanks.
@yargolocus4853
@yargolocus4853 4 жыл бұрын
you can also use the super long range of Q to keep your trait going if you cant tap things with auto. this requires level 1 Q talent so I'll be using that with the 7 exclusively
@lessiedevelop7718
@lessiedevelop7718 4 жыл бұрын
@@yargolocus4853 yes that is true, though the instances where I couldn't AA tap a hero, building, minion, summon or neutral merc to refresh my trait were usually those that had the enemy team completely disengaged from mine, which means that someone as non-mobile as Tassadar couldn't give chase either way. But yes, what you said is true.

I like this build, if it’s safe to do so I pick Thermal Lance at 16 to help deal with beefier targets. Plus Tass’s Q plus the Lv. 1 quest are the best against QM Murky’s trying to get bribe stacks, it just fries pufferfish.

Psionic echo is the way! My Tass has a 70% win rate on profile Knives#1882. Stay on the flank like a liming cast psi storm on the nearest enemy hero then cast your q on heroes in the back. This will allow for consistent psi storm on frontline and backline. It not only give much much more damage but can really disrupt enemy teams.

I dont normally disagree really, but archon build is strong as it not only helps with damage, it importantly gives you good survivability. Something tass lacks. Also new bonzai video when?

The whole point in that build is to delete someone when using your combo so I don't see a reason to not pick thermal Lance on 16 since 8% hp of anyone is a lot of extra dmg when it comes to life or death outcome

Well the video was supposed to be about hybrid builds, in the end I think going W at 16 does more spread damage over several target compared to the 8% singletarget damage, but it would make more sense if he picked strom on lvl 7 instead for going q heavy. Going hybrid still seems a bit questionable on how much mixing w and q builds bring to the table, though stacking damage on q makes sense for anything not AA focused just as he said.

Is AA build viable in mid ranks (Gold/Plat)? I guess it's a safer build in those, since you don't have to aim quickshots as well, and opponents won't always punish you for AAing.

Depends on how you use it. I find Black hole to be incredibly good. I prefer it over Archon every day. (I rarely need the damage or shield) Black hole can save friends being zerged, can be synched with other CC, can zone out the enemy to stop a chase etc. But I'm a CC maniac.

Black Hole works wonders and very consistently as long as you can bait the enemy team into engaging on yours. That said, if you use it from every far away when everyone is saving their buttons? You're not gonna get anything out of it. Black Hole looks like a "this ultimate is flashy and wins games" but in reality you should treat it as "this ultimate must cost the enemy team X buttons to deal with or pay a higher price".

@@liusitong5686 Even then, you can view it the same way you can view moshpit. It kinda sucks if people dont group up but the threat of a mosh/black hole stops them from engaging too hard and can win you games. Very hard to see such things though because you dont know how the opponent will react. And no, I dont take NotParadox or anyone else word as some holy scripture. Saying it sucks IS an exaggeration and it's something you only see in high GM games and even in such games will you be hard pressed to not find uses for black hole.

@andreaskarlsson5251

The other one is better versus double beef I think. I tend to have approx same dmg with either talent(unless they got like 2 tanks and a brawler then the Q talent is vastly superior! xD)
@chungocminh5336
@chungocminh5336 4 жыл бұрын
someone did the math and find out w talent at 16 is only increase 22% if use 1 storm but add up to 42% if stack 2 storm perfectly. The increase damage to tank like blaze is bout 2.5% max hp with 1 storm and 10% max hp with 2 perfect storm. So if you dont take storm talent at 7 dont ever take w talent at 16 even if you can get 2 enemy stuck in storm - it only give you 1 more instant of damage if you only have 1 storm.
