Gaming at its core is entertainment, I have been playing the mobile version, and there's no problem with the monetization. The PC community really is blowing it out of proportion. I've subscribed for the 2x2 secure container and elite subscription because i enjoy the game immensely. But I never felt the need to buy in-game currency. Every single functional item in the game is available for F2P. I also never felt disadvantaged before I purchased the subs. The subs are no different from streaming media services for movies and tv shows, I find more enjoyment playing games than i do from watching movies and TV shows, so I'd rather spend my cash here.

And there are items that you can find that are 2x2 and they are super valuable. Watch Pestiys video explaining it more. You make tons of KOENS in the beginning by completing all the quests. Once you finish them, the KOEN supply dries up and the grind is magnified by a million. Have you ever played F2P mobile games? How you start out blasting stuff away like a breeze... but then you get hit with a paywall to progress. Same principle here.

My only problem is not having a gear cap on normal maps. I can’t even run a shotgun and do missions without a T5 squad rushing me. Cringe asf
