The biggest tip I can give you is to roll your joystick, so constantly press the left stick forwards, and then turn it like a wheel. It lets you make smoother and smaller inputs without being so jerky. I haven't played assetto in a minute, so I can't remember the name of the script I used, but there's a bunch of different tutorials and recommended ones on KZbin

I am playing actual races on a switch pro controller and can compete pretty well. You just need gamepadfx, custom scripts and the correct settings. Speed sense 75%, steerig speed 10%, steering gamma 234%, steering filter 66%, deadzone 3%, rumble 90%. I am also use a frankenstein gamepadfx script from a japanese dude that i will never find again in my life if i had to search for it. It basically checks what the force feedback would be and apply an opposite force to the wheel, trying to balance everything out. Its perfect for drifting and i also use it to race. It is **far** superior to any other assist you can find on RD/Overtake. BTW: I am currently remaking the Forza Horizon 4 Map in Assetto Corsa so .. yeah.

Bro just get dual sense and use the gyro in the controller via script in cm under settings, controls, and then "custom shaders patch" tab

if you wanna use a controller script try out the a7 assist. i use and imo its pretty good. it is a drift script but it also helps in no hesi. i recommend these settings for the script: speed sensitivity 100% steering speed 100% steering gamma 100% steering filter 0% steering deadzone 0% rumble effects 0%

ok so the way to fix that is this: firstly change the serring wheel rotation limit to 90 degrees. and then there settings steering sense and speed is 65% and gamma is 170% steering filter default deadzone 3 rumble is preference. these are THE BEST settings out

I’ve used controller on sims for a very long time because I don’t have a wheel and over time I’ve built up extreme sensitivity with my thumb so I don’t use any scripts. A tip I can give is to be relaxed as much as possible with your hands, especially your steering thumb. That’s how you get precision movements and it won’t hurt as you’re playing

i recommend gyro steering if u have a ps4 controller cuz u can use it like a wheel, kinda like a wii

use the joypad game assist u can edit ur steerin senstivity in game and it looks like ur drivong with a wheel when u are cutting up and it has pre made presets for stable lose or drift for controller

I don't use a script I really still don't fully know what a script is I just looked up a yt video of a guy explaining what each controller setting did and went and customized them to my liking my highest is currently only 3 mill looking into getting a wheel but just can't see myself using it for anything else therefore me seeing as a waste.
