Hey girls! I’m a level 6 cheerleader from Michigan! I’ve been cheering for almost 15 years!! I wanted to tell Ellecee that we all understand how you’re feeling. It’s more than ok to be upset, but remember to take those feelings and put them all into cheer. Be the best you can be on the prep team and your time will come! Work super hard on the basics and you’ll have that handspring in no time! The coaches know best for you and I know you’ll have so much fun this year! And most important, don’t give up!! I was thinking all of the same things! A couple years ago when COVID hit I was at the end of the season of being on a level 2 team. Between the seasons I worked really hard to try and get my level three skills before tryouts. When the day finally came I knew I wasn't ready to throw those skills so I didn't. I made level 2 for two years in a row, but on my second year I declined the offer to be on the team and decided to fill my time with tumbling classes. Now this year I am a level 4 athlete and represent the US national team in the adaptive abilities division! I live in Illinois and plan to cheer in high school as competitive high school cheerleading is very similar to allstar here in Illinois. The best part is that I am only 13 which means that I have time to grow as an athlete over the next few years. I dream of being able to compete at your skill level! I remember having the same feeling as Ellecee when I found out all of my friends had made a different team than me. But, I didn't give up and made so many new friends at my gym and on my team. I just know that Ellecee will do the same!

Don't worry ElleCee! When I did dance back in my day I also didn't make the team I wanted right away and all my friends did. But I worked extra hard and slowly they started to first let me in on their practices to see if I could handle it and then eventually I actually made the team I wanted. And then I continued to improve and a few years later ended up being one of the front/center dancers. You can definitely do it, just believe in yourself and work hard!

My first audition for a play(I was 7) I didn’t get in. I practiced a song and everything but I didn’t end up doing it because everyone else was doing the song they gave us. I was crying afterwards but it got cancelled anyway.

I have a tip for their backhand spring! (from a gymnast) get them to do a handstand against a wall and shrug their shoulders while in handstand, notice how at the top of the shrug they feel more strong and stable? This is the shape their shoulders should be in their backhand spring. Their all doing so good!!

I just love the fact that when one of the kids is sad or having an emotional moment Tiffany turns the camera off and comforts them instead of shoving the camera in their face for more views. It's impressive they're doing cartwheel back handsprings, round off will give them the jump they need. Also another tip would be to tie their knees together (with a rag) for the back handsprings. Keeps the legs together. That's how we were taught back in the day. Great work girls! All of you!

the one thing i noticed with Nayvee's back hand springs is that she keeps her hands on the floor instead of pushing up if that makes sense, which is the reason why she doesn't get enough power. she needs to push up from her hands

hey girlies i’m a cheerleader too and i know how hard and stressful it can be! but to make your handspring’s and your life easier try straightening your arms and legs and really push off the ground. also when doing a backhand spring and a roundoff generally you should snap your feel down so when you connect a roundoff and a back handspring it’ll be faster and easier to do. AND ITLL BE PRETTY. you guys got it !!

I have been cheering for 10 years and I can tell you that tumbling is hard. It took me over a year to get my backhnadspring and I went through so many mental blocks. Having that hard work drive and positive mindset helps a lot when doing cheer. Trying your best is all that anyone can really ask for. Congratulations to the girls who made the team and for Saidee choosing to do something else instead. Making that choice can be hard but it's important to do what makes you happy.

I started cheerleading at 6 and did it for 4-5 years. And I loved it but I sadly had to stop as I was going into boarding school and it would be hard to do cheer, dancing, hockey and netball at the same time, so Sadie I know what you are going through as I kind of want to start up again but then again I ❤️ all my other sports ect. i am a level 8 gymnast and i’m around paislees age and what i realized in ellecees back walkover she is trying to kick over before her hands touch the ground so make sure to touch your hands to the ground before you kick over, if she works as hard as she can in the prep team and focuses on perfecting the basics, she can go a long way! also paislees back tuck looks great! just make sure she’s not rushing the skill and make sure she has correct form before trying harder skills so she doesn’t hurt herself. that’s all from me!

May I just say NayVee has the most solid back handsprings out of everyone in your family. Not saying the others are terrible I’m just saying they need some work but with some work they’ll get them better in no time. Much love ❤️

ElleCee will deff get there! she is really good with her jumps and I don't know cheer terms but touching her hands to her feet she does that well! and the one leg forward and other back, that as well, she is strong and she deff can do her back walkover! I think she just has to keep practicing like you all are going to with tumble classes and she'll be excellent! You got this little ElleCee! another thing, is tho she and Pretzel are the same age (sorry that's my fave nickname you call PresLee lol) though they are the same age I see ElleCee as a young eight-year-old and a lot younger than PresLee, I might be wrong though but she just is tiny but mighty! she will get there. Also, WOW PresLee is amazing! not sure if she realizes that, but by the time she's in HS, she will be amazing! and I most deff was saying "yes girl!" or "that was so good!" to each of them as they did their different stunts.

I’m finally trying out for cheer! I used to cheer but I quit. A coupe, years later, I finally gave the courage. Tryouts are on a couple days and of course something bad happened. On Friday I was driving to a hotel and we stopped at a gas station to use the rest room and now my back/side hurts. I can’t bend my back and can’t do all the level 1 skills. And idk how I’m going to tryout. But all that matters is that i land the skills.

You are an awesome family I love how you are all supportive of each other. I saw PaisLee’s back tuck and it was awesome! I feel like if she wanted to she could’ve made the level 3! It would take a lot of effort but she is really good!
