I wonder if most of the families should be moved actively from one location to another? When there is something to do in the field could you move more there and then afterwards move people to the next project?

I think OJ should, henceforth, be known as Earl J. Not 'earl' as in a nobleman, but Earl as in 'My name is Earl'.

This makes me wants a new next gen stronghold game. Can you build huge castles and produce huge armies? If it does this is a true successor to Stronghold.

The first couple of hours are fun, but also very painful to watch, the lack of general understanding for a management game like this is crazy, I only very rarely play these types of games myself, so definitely not an expert, but damn :). I get the impression that Alex has figured it out, but that he is too polite to intervene in the utter chaos that is unfolding under the "Joe's" leaderships. :D

What's the point in getting sweaty in a single player city management game? Just let people play the game and enjoy it. Peak performance is boring to watch.
@mobster56268 ай бұрын
@@TheHuntsman-qe9iz I don't think comments prevent them from having fun or even delivering entertaining content. But taking into account the insane amount of hours they spend playing, and the fact that the majority of all games are basically copy/pasted mechanics of each other, you would assume that they at least had a somewhat basic idea of how a management game like this works, there is nothing particularly unique about it from what I can see. I just find it funny how lost they are in the beginning. This has nothing to do with them nailing the game the first time or having a full understanding of the individual mechanics. But I think you can compare it to a 3D shooter if you played one of them, then you have a pretty good understanding of how the thousands of others play in general, even if there are minor changes between them, the overall mechanics are exactly the same.
@TheHuntsman-qe9iz8 ай бұрын
I don't know, man. I just wanna watch some bros play games. Not something I would ever describe as painful because they aren't that great at it.
@mobster56268 ай бұрын
@@TheHuntsman-qe9iz "Painful" in this case is an expression, no different than you could say the same in regards to the performance in a football match, a song, a movie etc. Doesn't mean you are in actual pain or you find them unbearable in general :) But seriously, I would be surprised if they hadn't played a game like this before, they all follow the exact same basic structure. Gather resources, build stuff, make people happy and then expand. Whether that is something like Anno or Simcity, the general idea is the same. And again it doesn't have anything to do with whether they are good at it or not. But the fact is that a lot of people use these videos to decide whether they want to get a game or not, and when primarily Joe expresses something as being lacking, weird or bad in the game, when he constantly misreads and misunderstands what the game is telling him, will give a bad impression of the game if people don't catch this themselves. So sure they should have fun playing it and they do it seems, but at the same time, they do make a living from being reviewers, so you would also expect them to at least have a general idea of how these types of games work.

Failing is also part of management. You don't win every race. You don't win every fight. You don't win every match. You don't beat every boss. You don't clear every level. A management game is no different from a racing, fighting, shooting, action or adventure game. Failing is part of playing too.

I love these guys ,but I'd have to strangle Joe if I played with em no focus.
@wiggles8778 ай бұрын
LOL, I knew they would starve the first winter. You guys are focusing way too much on expanding and not achieving the basics of survival. 1. Hunter camp and berry camp. 2. Storage for idle workers to do. 3 Logging. 4 Housing, Not all of your peasants are housed (build a well also). 5 market stall. 6. A small shrine will do for early game. 7. Sawmill. 8. Trading Post. Don't worry about farming until you have 5 or so workers to tend the fields. Also raising armies depletes your work force so don't raise them unless you intend to use them in the very near future. Good luck!

Instead of OJ editing an angry review and Alex making a rapid fire review, they watch joe play one game for 7 hours. Love you guys, but you guys don't have the best time/assignment management.
@hotdogwater81228 ай бұрын
I agree. Instead of playing obviously bad games and dedicating so much time and effort to games like Gollum that everyone knows is awful, maybe play and review the games he talks about regretting missing.
@TNM0018 ай бұрын
even IF they wanted to do a full review, why not let all 3 of them play the game and see if the experiences are similar or if its not consistent. but watching...yea, strange.
