I love your art style! I advise you to try a good 100% cotton paper (or at least some cotton content) with your next paiting. It also works with gouache.

I've not really tried watercolours with white mixed in before, these look fantastic and I love how pastel the piece is! It seems more reminiscent of gouache 🥰

It is, isn't it? Especially considering she used cellulose paper instead of cotton paper. Canson XL isn't really one of the best cellulose watercolor papers out there. Yet she managed to make such a gorgeous painting on it. Awesome.

Awww, finally. Meeco-chan using watercolors, again. And your using them so well. Love this new art-piece. ❤ May I ask, did you ever use the Baohong Academy watercolor paper? Maybe you could test that one as well? The hot-pressed version (red cover) is perfect for character illustrations. I'm using it all the time and I love it, since it's very affordable. I get mine on T-mu, since it's much cheaper there than on A-zon. Anyway, hope you gonna use watercolors more often. They give your illustrations more depth and character, imo. They look much more gorgeous painted with watercolors. Sorry, I'm biased since I love watercolors. :P

Yes, I have hot-pressed Baohong watercolor paper at home but it's a pity because I only have 1 A5 size left, it's too small for me to paint portraits. So I used my gouache paper for watercolor painting lol, luckily the results weren't too bad.😅 I didn't know you liked watercolor so much 😮 I will definitely buy more Baohong paper and make more watercolor videos. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the video 🥰

When I see watercolors, I always expect the finished project to look like traditional watercolor paintings; transparent with soft edges and no...actual white paint. I'm amazed by your ability to use any medium to create art true to your style. I didn't realize solid, vibrant hues and defined shapes could be produced with watercolors. This Meiliang Watercolor set seemed have everything needed for a first time user to complete a project. Are these consider to be Paul Rubens' student grade watercolors? As you swatched, the quality of the brush that came with the set seemed very good considering it was included. Since the bamboo brushes held their point well as you worked, I couldn't determine if the products were great or if it was the artist's skills which made all products perform professionally. 😉😉😉 Great Review👏👏👏! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

That's my habit when using gouache, I accidentally used it with watercolor too.. Luckily everything looks fine 😊 And yes, this is a set of watercolors for students by Paul Rubens, I hope to be able to use watercolors for artists one day. The quality of the included brush is actually very good, it has a pointed tip and is perfectly suitable for doing the whole illustration. It's just that I personally want to try using that bamboo brush set for watercolor. 😂 Thank you for your extremely detailed comment, it shows that you have watched my video carefully. And I'm very happy and proud of this. That is a big motivation for me, thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️

Gorgeous work! I always love the way you render shadows and how you use the paint rather than a pen to draw the lineart. It makes it so much more cohesive! I have a smaller set of these colours from a year or two ago, and i found that they seemed sort of chalky and quite opaque. Did you have the same experience, or have they maybe changed their formula?
