I used to only use my go to powders and refused to try other cheaper imports... in fact decades ago I despised Hodgdon powders for going after and Imitating (with imported powders) my favorite Hercules powders...which have been under the Alliant trademark for quite some time now, but that said I always did use specific Hodgdon powders and during the start of one of the pandemics I tried some cheap off brand powders and one of them was clean shot. I've since learned that all powders available to us for purchase is good useable powder! we just have to start back at square one and find the right load. Although I still have my favorites for pistol and shotshell from Alliant to this day, I probably use more Hodgdon powders today than I do any other brand and Immensely respect the morals of the company today. They have become the industry giant, but they've also saved some old favorites from extinction like our trusty IMR powders we can't live without.

This is a little cheaper than HP38. Not by much though.
