Try messing around with it on steam input too. I know some players that use the deadzone settings through there and running 0.00 in game. I really like it. I think Eska uses 24 --- 88. I use 25-88 and really like it. You run lower DZ on cross so maybe you could try 15--88. The deadzone through there feels “more consistent” feeling. Worth screwing with. Also know some players mess with the square stick number for a different feel. I believe solstice runs 50 square stick. IMO if you want the best of both worlds for CCH and getting SSL I’d just run square at the lowest DZ you consistently hit your cancels on.

@ I’m assuming you’re asking about the “both worlds” part. I think you’ll be fine to get SSL on square. Just run as low controller deadzone as possible. Somewhere that you feel like you can comfortably not miss 99% of your cancels. I think you could get SSL easy. I don’t think cross will make too much of a difference than square.

Yo boss, do you have any tips on how to get my movement to be as efficient as yours in the air? Im GC1 (peak div 4 last season) and can do the "basic" meccy things like multi no stall resets (doubles very consistent, triples and up less so), mustys, learning maktufs for fun right now etc etc, but I find that my movement looks a lot less "calculated" than yours I guess. I have almost 4k hours and even though I've improved at the game a lot in 2024, and my ball control is relatively good most the time, my movement still looks kinda ugly most the time Any tips? Sorry for the long question haha

@charliesmith874 I've been trying to teach eclipse but I don't know how to explain it. It's just clicked one day and became smooth but I used to have those clunky maktufs. I found that the position u start from is how to get the smoothness as well as how fast u actually flip cancel. Sorry I'm not much help

I love square but dude its so difficult to control axial movement on it. I've been using cross with .71 max deadzone so i still get corner cancels but it doesnt feel the same lol

@@itscdr @zicron45 u can change stick-reactioncurve to balanced for precise steering/movement and play with the deadzone in steam controller settings, so u can stick to ur ingame settings. deadzone in steamsettings is different but worth a try. i suggest starting by 5 and working downwards

@ Ye, I use DS4 and i've messed with all the stick reaction curves and whatnot. For a while I felt like i was peaking with a 2 step curve (lower movements at .5 sens and high movements at 4 sens) but ended up starting to slump after a bit. Its all so finicky :(

@johanheebll3535 square turns ur dead zone into a square so u have more room to go to the "corners" or ur dead zone. It basically just makes flip cancels easier. I don't have a great explanation for it sorry

i dont think you'd play good on 10 aerial its too big of a swap for you so id prob find some good low sens and lowish deadzone combination maybe like 5-6 aerial n like 0.15 deadzone or smth so that you'd atleast be more free
