Thank you for this, I have inherited one of these and am in the process of working out it's safe operation and this has answered my questions more than sufficiently. 😀

My father has the same machine but is now missing the tops of three fingers after slipping doing exactly the same thing seen at the start of the video! He's been woodworking for years but one seconds lack of concentration resulted in a lengthy hospital visit not to mention a horrible mess to clear up! Please be careful folks, you only get two hands so why take unnecessary risks? A good push block (and guards) can save your fingers if you do slip! On the up side he's given the planer to me now :o)

I can only say you are absolutely right! Be careful out there!

Yes it does but it's a lot of work to change the set up all the time... that's a big con

Push sticks, push paddle, lump of wood, not fingers. Feeling sick.

That was in my young days in which I was a lot more careless! I took the advise at hand and use a lot more protective gear at the moment!

Hi there, nice video. I have the exact same machine as you have but have a few fittings missing. I need the saw blade fitting as it seems to be missing. Would you be able to give me some more info on the machine as well as the manual please. Regards, Sam.
@FennahMakes4 жыл бұрын
Samuel Mamo i don’t have the manual but what do you want to know about the machine??
@samuelmamo38294 жыл бұрын
@@FennahMakes I need to get to know how to use the circular saw blade. What size it should be and what is needed to use it.
@FennahMakes4 жыл бұрын
What parts do you have of the table saw module?
@aaronanthonymoat2 жыл бұрын
What size blade does it accept? Looks like 12"?
@FennahMakes2 жыл бұрын
This is a 12” blade. Maybe it can go larger, haven’t tried it actually!

the beginning gave me some anxiety. I'm not trying to give anyone shit but please everybody get proper instructions how to use a jointer or any other machine before you start with it! none of your fingers should hang over the wood at the end, it's usually enough to lay the hands flat onto the workpiece, otherwise use a pushing block. Also to get a plane surface apply pressure over the table behind the rotating blades once there's enough wood there, not in front of the blades. Using proper technique is the only way to be safe and get good results.
