Considering all the fairly exotic software you typically use, Sketchbook is turning in a very credible performance here. I really like the effects you're getting, both for large areas and details. Thanks, Steve!

The artist made us glad through his work but more so by sharing his digital art through a common software.

I just did a digital watercolor in Autodesk Sketchbook, but mine isn't near as nice to look at as your is. Great job! I will have to fiddle with the settings to get my salty brush to work like yours.

First of all my appreciation for this demo. You inspired me to dwnld the app for my new iPad. I had been exploring options that my allow me digitally explore options. My intention is to utilise it as a way to try out different options for the completion of paper media watercolours that I’ve had awaiting completion over the past year. You mentioned that you would furnish a link allowing us to dwnld a watercolour paper you created.... In gratitude, achille

Hi Archille, thanks. I'm glad you found the video helpful. The app really has a nice watercolour engine. I'll discuss the watercolour paper in your other comment along with the apps you mention

Wonderful Steve. Really liked it. Whenever you are using a brush, if you can show the type as a subtitle, it would be useful..

Can you give some instruction on how to use the textured watercolour paper in Sketchbook? I've downloaded the paper from the website you linked to and added it as a layer into one of my multilayered paintings, but I'm stuck on how to actually see/benefit from the effect of the watercoloured paper on my painting. Thanks
@SteveElliottArt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Once you have loaded the paper texture into Autodesk move the layer to the top of the stack. At this point you should see just the paper texture. Change the blend mode of the layer to multiply. You should now see your painting with the texture. Adjust the opacity of the paper texture to suit. You may want to try selecting different blend modes to see how it effects the overall look. Hope this helps. Keep painting and stay safe

What brush are you using at the begging when you are outlining?
@SteveElliottArt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, thanks for the question. It’s been so long since I made this video I can’t remember. I would guess it’s a generic pencil, that would be my normal go to brush for sketching the outline

Have you ever tried Rebelle for digital watercolours?

Hi Pink Lady, I have, you can find a video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fn-9nKuGf8ySh7s I do intend to invest in this app

Steve Elliott, I already have Rebelle and I will soon update it to version 3. A while ago, I saw this app called Expressii. It mimics Chinese/Japanese watercolours. You probably have heard of Expressii. I am going to get that app this week. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqaWgGinq7uJftE
