I’ve been trying and it took 7 hours, then 5 hours, then 4 hours. And the gel I have crumbles apart (probably a crappy brand or just as probable - user error) after a couple days. They still look good for about an hour.

you should do this same technique but with only the base color and then top with clear instead so you get almost like a broken glass effect !!!

I'm pretty sure you can make them as opaque as you want. I think the idea is when you file, the high parts from the first layer peak through. They ended up really cool, the one with the iridescent powder is my favorite! Kinda reminds me of opal

These are pretty! I would recommend using a metal spatula to mix the gel colors though. Smashing the brush into them to mix just makes tons of air bubbles.

kyleenoblee so fake holo is usually iridescent labeled as holographic in order for something to be holo its would need to show all colors of the rainbow when the light shifts holo can come in many different colors like gold holo with is basically the same thing but instead of it being the classic grey and when you shift the light you get holo it’s gold and when you shift the light you get holo it also come in so many different colors like red , blue , green, yellow etc basically any color you can think of xoxo Hannah
