Somali Muslims are so humble. I met one person in London. We had iftar together. One thing really surprised me that he was not keen to eat too much food during iftar like we Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indians do. He had date, milk, rice yogurt and then went to pray maghrib prayer. They are too focused on Ramadan, prayer not into food so much. May Allah bless Somali people. Love from Bangladesh.

0:45 interestingly there is a mosque in Somalia in the region of Somaliland called ""Mosque of the two Qiblas" and was constructed in the 7th century CE, not long after the hijra-to Abyssinia. The mosque's name, refers to its two mihrabs, which are oriented northwest towards Jerusalem and north towards Mecca as it was built before the change of qibla was revealed and is one of the oldest mosques in both Africa and the world

The eastern region of Ethiopia and northern region of Kenya belonged to Somalia until the ‘60s, when European colonialists divided up Somalia and gave its regions to its neighbours in order to weaken them. Ethiopia was considered an ally to Britain and other western powers in the Horn, in part due to Ethiopia being the only historically Christian force in the Horn of Africa (whereas the Horn was predominantly Muslim). That is why Somalis are the third largest ethnic group of Ethiopia today and exist in large numbers in Kenya. so technically at the prophets time most of Abyssinia was Somalia ;)
