I'm interested on this powder since the issy compact I have is a bit dark on me. I just want a compact translucent one. Jen De Leon and Anne clutz loved the powder so most likely it fit their skin type.

Hi. Sorry for the long post. I hope you can help with my questions. I'm torn between Issy active foundation and strokes soft veil foundation. I have combination skin: a little oily on the T-zone, may konting dry patches on the side of the nose and chin, and have visible pores sa nose area. I also have some acne marks on my cheeks and chin. My questions are: 1) For both, does it cling to dry patches? 2) Nakita ko sa reviews kasi na light to medium coverage lang si Issy, keri ba kung mag concealer/ green corrector naman? 3) Actually kasi most ng nabasa ko mas recommended daw ung strokes for events then Issy for everyday and to be honest ang main purpose ko why I'm going to buy a foundation ay dahil may aattendan akong event/s. BUT! Less than 5x lang un for the whole year. So I was thinking kung mas practical ba na mag Issy nalang (para magamit ko din for date nights or girls night out/ no need for heavy makeup events)? In short, kakayanin din ba ni Issy ang makeup for events? 4) Most recommended setting powder and spray? 5) Kung may other foundation reco kayo that you think would better suit my description of my skin, please comment it also. Hi! I don't mind long question at all and thank you for taking the time to put in as much detail right away. My answers below. I hope it helps: My questions are: 1) For both, does it cling to dry patches? - Both cling on dry patches just like any other makeup, but some cling/look more obvious than others. Issy has a thinner consistency so it will glide/apply easier but need to set kasi this with powder para it doesn't move around much. Strokes kasi masmakapal and the coverage is higher. Skin prep may help in minimizing dry patches, I would suggest something hydrating like hyaluronic acid in your routine. When applying moisturizer/cream on those dry areas para the skin softens up. Exfoliation also helps with this (BHAs/AHAs). 2) Nakita ko sa reviews kasi na light to medium coverage lang si Issy, keri ba kung mag concealer/ green corrector naman? - This really depends on the deepness in color of hyperpigmentation / redness needs to be covered. I find that redness around my nose is decently covered by Issy foundation na, my healing acne marks need talaga ng concealer (issy concealer gamit ko). If your concealer is high coverage enough I think it can work. Please note that makeup can only do so much, it doesn't mask bumps from active pimples, only the redness. 3) Actually kasi most ng nabasa ko mas recommended daw ung strokes for events then Issy for everyday and to be honest ang main purpose ko why I'm going to buy a foundation ay dahil may aattendan akong event/s. BUT! Less than 5x lang un for the whole year. So I was thinking kung mas practical ba na mag Issy nalang (para magamit ko din for date nights or girls night out/ no need for heavy makeup events)? In short, kakayanin din ba ni Issy ang makeup for events? -- if budget is a big concern for you perhaps issy may be a better choice, use a high coverage concealer for areas that you need to cover up na lang. You can try samplers ng issy so you can check your shade and also test if it will fit your needs (coverage, clinging to dry patches etc.). 4) Most recommended setting powder and spray? -- Since oily skin type ka please take my recos with gain of salt hehe. I like my Laura Mercier powder the most but for oil control I really like Vice's. Fixing spray my top 1 is strokes, I could feel the mist hardening/creating a barrier on my face to make the makeup less prone to transfers. Downside is maanghang sa mata, may menthol kasi. Nasanay na ako tho. Next is GRWM mist, I have the matte one pero that one doesn't keep my makeup looking matte medyo may glow. 5) Kung may other foundation reco kayo that you think would better suit my description of my skin, please comment it also. - I really love my Nars Long Wear Radiant Foundation. I should say coverage is near strokes but I find it less drying. I HOPE THIS HELPS TALAGA! Let me know how it goes!

I bought the concealer and regretted it at first kasi same experience, super drying. It accentuated lahat ng pwede ma-accentuate sa balat ko. Tapos sinamahan ko pa ng baking hahaha. I tried it again today but now WITHOUT setting it with powder and super ganda niya. :(( Hindi naman siya nahulas tulad ng ibang concealers kapag di mo sinet with powder. Oily/combo ako pero ang tindi ng pagka-matte nito haha

Agree!! Makapal talaga siya it's really meant to cover!! Need talaga test a few times to know how the product works best for you ahaha! Ako naman todo moisturize or minsan I put skin illuminator pang lessen naman ng pagkamatte niya

Thank you for the in-depth review! I've already tried yung foundation and nagustuhan ko. I was going to get yung concealer but I don't like matte concealers so I'll pass and stick with GRWM.

Always love and trust your reviews! I have oily to dry skin, and it really is srying on my skin :( so I'd rather use it on my nose then GRWM on the perimeters :)) can you also do comparison with the lippies? do you also have dry lips?

@@annieb.1958 i see! I like stretching the use of my makeup, seeing how they can be used in different ways aside from their intended purpose 😅 also helpful to show the texture visually. I have been using the cc lately with different foundation or sometimes put eyecream or skin illuminator so it won't appear dry anymore :) i also like issy peach toned concealer, i find the coverage and texture good na for me: med-full coverage and really creamy, vv natural finish hehe

Sa blk foundation (sheer) i use oat, universal skin tint l use Vanilla (butterscotch too dark on me na). Tagal na ako di nagmaybellien girl pero i remember na 128 shade ko. Sa detail, haven't tried them yet sa fez pero sa pagswatch i think i am creme
