He doesn't look down on them he eats and drinks after them and even was hand feeding them. I always liked Jeffree but since Shane Dawson's docu-series I have grown to love him. Just in case anyone who isn't from the UK is confused by the drinks, I'll explain 😊 Recently the UK has introduced a sugar tax, so drinks that have too much sugar in them are now more expensive. So, in order to save money (and help people eat less sugar) almost all drinks now have a diet (or max, in pepsi's case) and reduced sugar alternative to make them more affordable, and make them healthier. In order to save money, fast food places use dispensers with sugar free or reduced sugar versions. You can still but the sugary ones in shops, but you'll be paying a little extra for them.

Isawthe Sign tbh all sweeteners are essentially bad for you but we often don't use a lot usually quite a few E numbers, or just sugar. The rest are just preservatives like potassium sorbate or aspartame

The drinks suck because we have a sugar tax in the UK which means drinks with full sugar cost more. Therefore most retailers don't opt to offer them. It was put in place fairly recently to help combat obesity - which puts unecessary strain on our free healthcare system.

Hey I don't know if Jeffree will ever see this but the reason why our drinks are so bad (in his opinion, most English palettes are used to them!) is because our government introduced a sugar tax on sugary drinks, so to avoid paying the tax most restaurants took full sugar drinks off their menus! That's why only Pepsi Max (which by the way is like a diet, diet - it has zero sugar!) and Diet Pepsi were available, and the Tango drinks were all diet too probably. The freezies were probably more tart / sour due to a lack of sugar as well! Not so bad a problem but probably difficult to deal with if you've got such a sweet tooth like Jeffree :D

just a little British info for you haha 1. Pepsi Max is advertised as ‘no sugar but max taste’ but it’s just straight up diet like you said in the video 2. There was no normal drinks because in the uk they’ve created a thing this year called ‘sugar tax’ where you have to pay an extra fee for full-sugar drinks. So now either most fast food places just don’t carry normal drinks (for example taco bell don’t sell them like you showed in the video, and I know that subway also don’t) or if they do sell it (I’m pretty sure McDonald’s still sells them) you have to pay an extra 10p, so it gets kinda annoying. hopefully this helped! :)

A lot of the time in other countries when it comes to certain types of food the laws are strict. Such as meat, dairy etc. The feed given to the animals in some countries cannot contain GMO's and many places only use high-quality organic dairy and meat. Also many European countries have fresher food, less processed. Also less sugar is used in many beverages. In the USA we are more lenient and use more processed foods. I did several essays, and a dissertation about the science behind foods in the USA compared to many European countries. I rarely eat processed now because of what I learned.

We don’t have any artificial flavourings or colourants & most things have no added sugars, just natural sugars. Almost all meats used at food chains are British sourced and there are guidelines and rules set In place for feeding livestock.
