Lol I've been doing this for years now. It's related to the tides from the moon. Back in the day it was said only witches could stand a broom up. It was a sign of power and protection. I was told this by my grandma, as I have witches down my bloodline I believed it. Now being a little older, I don't believe only witches can do this lol. I think it's just something kinda cool to do to show off for a friend. I left a broom standing for 2 days a my work and everyone was having fun with it.
