French local climber here ! I was climbing at Climbing District Bastille last time and yes, for a five star review they indeed give you a free drink lol. I personnally don't really like these sort of attracting strategies, but I gotta admit I think this is so funny that it worked so well that they thougt it was legit the best graded gym in the world and made an entire video about it (now don't get me wrong this is really one of the best and fanciest climbing gym in Paris but yeah the 5 star note is not legit)

Epic video, two of my favorite climbing youtubers in my favorite gym in my city haha ! Also I am really sad because I reckon every boulder because I was there when all of those were set but it wasn't the same day as those crushers 😭 And no this pink in the big overhanging wall is not a V4 at all if you are not as tall as them (or used to dyno every boulder you do), the before last hold is very shitty haha ! I've tried it many times and never gets the last move sadly For foreigners, this is the only climbing gym in Paris to have a kilterboard (and well, one of the only to have a board, period) and this month (april 2024) a replica of Burden of Dreams is set inside ! @climbingdistrict are really the best gym company when it comes to bringing new ideas and evolution in Paris ! Ah and also, they use loose chalk in their chalk bag but it's actually forbidden in every bouldering gym and specifically said in the gym rules (allowed if there is sport climb in the same area tho) so it's a bit unfair but I guess it's because they're more famous than us, simple mortals 😅

Next time you should try Arkose Massy, it's pretty great, boulders are hard, until the olympics a third of the gym is transformed into olympic training for athletes, so the level is going to go up even more. (The gym isn't as classy as climbing sitrict tho)
