As a British person, I’d like to describe, if I may, the exact protocol in the event of someone pushing in front of one in a queue. The first action is the raised eyebrows/jaw drop...maybe accompanied by a small exhalation of breath (almost inaudible - it is vital not to be heard). Then the raised eyebrows whilst looking to catch the eyes of your fellow queue people in an attempt to find shared silent disbelief and outrage - this gives a feeling of community and solidarity. One may feel the need to tut but DON’T do it. You will be heard and worst case scenario, the pusher-inner may turn to you and ask what one’s problem is. Confrontation must be avoided at all costs. If confronted, one must look at the floor and pretend your tut was actually some sort of symptom of a cold or other respiratory viral illness. It is, of course, a given that one must describe the scene and express your rage to anyone that will listen for at least the next fortnight. Hope this helps!

When someone tries to cut in front of me in line I just say, "excuse me" or "do you mind?" in a tone that clearly communicates to that person that they are very stupid, and they tend to get embarrassed enough to let me go next. Asserting boundaries like that is culturally more common in America I think. When I lived in England everyone was very apologetic/would just let things slide.

I had the greggs vegan sausage roll for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I thought it tasted very similar only the pastry was a little thicker and crunchier and the "sausage" was a little softer and saltier but if nobody told me I wouldnt have thought much about it.

MJ I think most people would definitely have prefered a quorn chicken nugget. The majority of us also avoid meat because it’s cruel not because it tastes bad. I’m not against companies selling vegan products that aren’t quorn but I’m definitely again McDonald’s continuing to sell those rubbish goujons in different shapes and flogging them off as new products.

I AM SO JEALOUS !! France is sooooo late on everything vegan or even vegetarian. I've been a vegetarian for almost 10 years now and it is so hard to find things. We have like 1 brand on supermarkets, it's kind of expensive and doesn't give us that much choice. We don't have any fast foods doing vegan or vegetarian (McDonalds sometimes but not always, but nothing in BK or KFC). I don't know why we're so late, you have so many great stuff in the UK and you've had them for a long time too.
